We visited Pennywell Farm early this year with our children. This is a short review of how we found our day out.
Pennywell Farm is situated near Buckfastleigh Devon.
The admission charges are:
Adult £9.95 Child (3 - 16 years) £7.95 Season tickets are: Adult £42.50, child £32.50 and a family (2 adults and 2 children) is £135.00
This is very reasonable for a full day out. Also the child ages really do cover children 3-16. Most places consider 14 ... ...on. It doubles as a Pennywell Certificate, if this is stamped with 6 different activity stamps then that named child can return for free when accompanied by a full paying adultSo well dont to Pennywell!
Tesco clubcard 'days out' voucher can be used to pay for entry. Tickets can be bought on line.
Open from: 14th February through to the 01st November and again at Christmas 05 - 24 Dec 09.

Advantages: Loads to do Disadvantages: Cafe is a bit expensive
...visit while in Devon is Pennywell farm. Pennywell Farm is located in South devon just outside Buckfastleigh, when you arrive at the farm you will find a very spacious carpark, even in the summer when the farm is very busy you will find enough space to park the car. You pay for your tickets inside the shop and the first thing you will notice is how friendly the staff are, the children get given name tags and an activity sheet. You can also purchase ... ...Everytime we visit Pennywell we always take a look in the Farmyard theatre as it is a lot of fun with ferrets races and a puppet show. The best thing is if you are lucky you get to hold or at least smooth a ferrett! Other than the animals there is plenty for the children to do, for the little ones there are small tractors, wendy houses and lots of little tykes climbing frames. Pennywell farm is about a fifteen minute drive from where I live so I have been to place quite a few times. It's basically a big farm where there are lots of animals to touch and spend time with but there are also tonnes of other things going on around this. It will cost an adult just under a tenner and a child around eight pounds and under three's go free which I think is great value for money if you make the most of everything that goes on. When ... ...in the future. Pennywell is always changing because as the seasons change so do the animals for instance you could go up at the start of opening season (feb) and it'll be wet and muddy and there won't be too much going on but when you go back in May, there are tiny piglets and sheep which have just been born. The thing that I really don't like about Pennywell is the fact that you pay at the door but if you want your child to have a pony ride then ...
