    On New Year's Day, after a truly terrible night out in Maidstone, my best friend and I decided to treat ourselves with a nice meal. So off with trotted to Pizza Express in Ashford, Kent (I am reviewing this branch in particular, but information such as the menu applies nationwide. ***What's it all about?*** Pizza Express began in the 1960's, when creator Peter Boizot found a distinct lack of authentic Italian eateries in London.
