Advantages: Quick, cheap, nice, great fries. Disadvantages: Better places to go, not much atmosphere, not much seating.
Pizza Hut Express in Eldon Square isn’t the best advertised of places, and I had never heard of it before even though I must have passed by it quite a few times. I only noticed it today when I was out shopping with a friend in Newcastle, and we were looking for somewhere to go for lunch after looking around New Look. Pizza Hut Express is directly opposite New Look as you come out of the top floor exit, so because we were hungry we went straight for ... ...that I came here. A pizza meal costs £4.09 (much better if you have change!) which includes a small, individual pizza of your choice with either seasoned fries or a side salad and a refillable pepsi drink. This is much cheaper than the normal pizza hut, and quite good value especially considering its a sit down place. There are 5 choices of pizza that I can remember, all were included in the meal deal and I think all of them cost £2.79 – margherita, ...

Advantages: Fairly cheap Disadvantages: Not much range and cramped facilities
I tried the new Pizza Hut Express in Eldon Square last week. It is cheap but there isn't much of a range. There are 4 varieties of small pizza, including cheese & tomato and vegetable supreme.
The veg supreme pizza cost £2.69. However for another £1.10 I got a Meal Deal with a small salad with croutons and dip and "unlimited" soft drink. You can get spicy chips if you don't want a salad but the portions looked rather small.
I had 2 cups of pop ... ...The other "deals" include Pizza and chips for £2.99 and the Under 12s' meal for £2.50. This deal is cheese and tomato pizza with "unlimited" helpings from the Ice Cream Factory.
Side dishes cost 99p.
The building is barely functional, with very little room to sit and there is certainly not much room for a wheelchair or pram.
However, if you want a quick meal without the frills (and you can takeaway if you want), this is much nicer, cheaper and ...

...I've always enjoyed dining at pizza hut and this new restaurant is no exception.
The interior is pleasant and inviting, much as you would except from a chain which prides itself on it's provision for families.
Firstly, the service. We were served reasonably quickly, by a very nice, welcoming young lady who brought our drink with utmost pucntuality. A word of warning here, alcoholic drinks are somewhat expensive, so it might well be worth remaining ... ...looking divine. The grand pan pizza was crispy and golden on the outside and soft and doughy in the middle- perfect, topping with acres of succulent toppings. The thin base Italian pizza however was not quite so good. A little overcooked and sgnificanlty less filling than the grand pan, if you're looking for value for money, go for the grand pan at £9.99 for a large. We also had a side order of garlic bread which priced at £2.00 was somewhat expensive ...

Advantages: Quick, easy and not too pricey, in eldon square close to shops Disadvantages: small, cramped.
While Pizza Hut Express is certainly 'express', it is not a patch on the real Pizza Hut. With only a limited variety of pizza's to choose from, and the fact that you can only have a small pizza to yourself, this express shop is nowhere near as good as ordinary Pizza Hut restaurants. While it has the advantage of serving people quickly, anyone who wants a good quality pizza should go to a proper pizza restaurant. If you want fast food, go to McDonalds ... ...for people hankering after a pizza after a workout.
The prices aren't bad, especially if you get a meal which includes the pizza, chips/salad and a drink for not much extra money. The drinks are refillable so if you're the type of person who drinks a lot when they eat then this is great because it saves a lot of money.
This Pizza Hut Express is like all the other ones in the country, so if you know you like it, then go. However Newcastle is filled ...
