    The Plym Valley Railway is a local railway that has been formed as a tourist attraction, and forms a part of one of the old disused sidings that is just off the main Paddington to Penzance main line - and as the name would suggest, it is in Plymouth! It is also within the Plym Valley Cycle Track, which forms a part of the Plym Valley Nature Reserve that is run by the National Trust. This part of the railway in the past formed the starting point of the branch line from Marsh Mills to Tavistock and Launceston which was originally established back in 1859, but the lovely Dr Beeching in his wisdom ... more
