...have just come back from Pontins at Southport. I was supposed to be there for a week. On the 3rd morning I was out of there faster than a rat up a drainpipe. The place was unbelievably dirty and smelly and Damp. I have not used my inhaler for months. twice in 2 nights is not good news. ...May 11th o7 to pontins in Brean and i was dissapointed with my experience there. The Rooms were very small and the double beds were like single beds. The toilets were blocked and made the most weirdest noises ever. I did enjoy the night life at pontins apart from the music was not loud and getting a drink took for ever too. Pontins is based near Ainsdale Beach it is also quite close to the local shops of Southport. OVERVIEW I took up one of Pontins special offers for a 3 night stay about a month ago. Pontins does have a lot of specials mainly for long weekends mostly 3 and 4 nights. It is less expensive to go in school time plus it isn't as busy as it is out of school time. We had a cheap break in a 3 bed classic chalet my elder daughter upgraded to a club one so could check in early. We went to her "upgraded" chalet and wondered what our chalet would be like if this was the best!! Once we had queued in a ridiculous unorganised line to get our keys we went to our room and promptly walked back out again! ...a big confrence on at pontins in skegness so i went for five days with a few friends, we were sharing a shally between six people and it was two in a room in one of the silver rated shallys! when we first turned up we stuck all our meat for the five days in the fridge only to find out that the fridge was broke! we ended up throwing all our food away and having to spend on food there!! Advantages: Great value, fun and friendly. Great nightlife and day time activities.
Disadvantages: Very noisy.

You collect the tokens from the Daily Star,selet three ideal dates and venues and wish for the best, as tey select what one your of too! Pontins another Butlins I thought, and that experience was not very memorable. However, I was pleasently surprised, comfortable and clean accomodation (chalets), loud northerners and an atmosphere of fun! What more can you want. With a nightclub on site and great themed nights its something I won't remember. ... Read review

We paid £310 for the Easter weekend, what a rip off & this did'nt include any electricity! The Chalet was shabby and not big enough for 7 (4 children) No where to eat,not enough room to swing a cat,could'nt use the cooker & shower at the same time not enough hot water, bathroom was disgusting,doors to rooms damaged-in all it was disgusting. ...because as kids we loved PONTINS and fortunately our kids did as well, but what a shame that things change as we age. despite all bad remarks I would reccommend you go just to have the CROCODILE experience if nothing else. GOODNIGHT CHILDREN, SEE U IN THE MORNING! ... Read review

...years since we last visited pontins so were unsure of what to expect after hearing other peoples experiances but we went with an open mind anyway.the entertainment was ok but the chalets and especially the sofa bed were bad,we have never slept anything so uncomfy.To make matters worse they only provided a bottom sheet and no duvet cover and watching the chalet maids they did not take duvets out when cleaning between guests so you were expected to ... we have just returned from the most awful 4 days on our fisrt and never to be repeted trip to this hell hole ! it is dated ,dirty , disgusting, not fit for human habitation. it is like stepping in to a time warp ! the whole concetp of chasing this bloody green croc around the park followed by all the happy campers all banging the cheap and nasty pans and pan lids out fo thire cheap and nasty club class apartments , what a joke that is the only difference ... I CAME BACK FROM PONTINS IN BLACKPOOL A FEW WEEKS AGO AND I STILL MISS IT SO MUCH! IT WAS A REALLY GREAT HOLIDAY! IN THE MORNINGS THE BREAKFAST STARTED AT 8 O'CLOCK AND ENDED AT 10. THEN YOU COULD DO WHATEVER YOU WANTED DURING THE DAY, I WAS SPOILED FOR CHOICE. I COULD RENT OUT A GO-KART, A SINGLE SEATER, DOUBLE SEATER, 4 SEATER, 3 WHEELER OR A GO-KART WITH A CANOPY. pontins <pakefeild> is just the best place to be so much going on around you!! it can sometimes be boring in the day time. But if you went i bet you would love it to bits! everyone is really nice, they help alot. I would love to work there as a bluecoat because they are very friendly and funny.
