The ecclesiastical connection comes about because of the wonderful central classical dome and inside this hugely impressive and beautiful structure of gorgeous white Portland stone,an octagonal hall rises up to the dome with arched galleries running round it at all four levels.
On all my visits to Liverpool I have never tired of visting the waterfront and gazing at these fine buildings. I am hard ...
