Advantages good for thrill seakers, good ride, easy access, central location
Disadvantages built on a hill, food, can be expensive for a family day out
PortAventura had been on my to do list since before the name change the other year. I already knew about it when it was still known as Universal Mediterranea. This old name gives away who the owners of the park are. The park renamed PortAventura belongs to the Universal Studios people, the ones that bring you the parks in Orlando and Los Angeles as well as over in Japan. PortAventura, on the outskirts of the small Spanish tourist town of Salou, is the European arm of the Universal expansion. Last year the park celebrated its 10th anniversary and it's growing stronger each year. Getting to the ...

Advantages Wonderful fun in the sun
In August of this year my husband and our 2 kids, my son aged 14 and my daughter aged 9 went to Salou for our summer holidays. Salou is very big and noisy with plenty to do, not for someone looking for a quiet holiday. We had a wonderful holiday but the definite hightlight was PortAventura Theme Park. It way exceeded my expectations. I never thought a theme park could be so much fun. Before we went over to Spain we were advised to purchase our theme park tickets here as that it the cheaper way to do it and there are always special deals on the tickets here. We managed to get 4 7 day tickets ...

Advantages FUN, CHEAP AND VERY CLEAN!!!!!
Disadvantages 2-3 DAYS AND ITS DONE
Went to port aventura last year(2006) on holiday, this park has the potential to be as good as disney paris if they keep adding and updating. The rides were good, Dragon Kahn fantastic and a must i also dared to brave hurrakan condor which wasnt as bad as it looks so be brave and get on it. If you stay in a portaventura hotel you get fast past onto the big rides to use once so basically you walk straight onto the rides, this comes in when it is very busy. If its not busy save your passes for another day just in case it gets too busy. If you have children and are small they need to be good at ...

Advantages Good rides, Shows are wicked
Disadvantages Alot of walking
I went to port aventura theme park in 2003 it is a good theme park and i would go again, if you like the thrill rides then u will love the dragon khan its a rollercoaster but it goes very fast and it has 8 loops and goes 70mph its the only rollercoaster in the world that has 8 loops. Port Aventura is on a big hill and theres alot of walking around to go on every ride it would take you about 2days because there are so many. There is a load of water rides aswel, the ride qeues aint that long if u go in the right season, i would get your tickets before you go to the theme park because you could ...

Port Aventura is a really good day out. It has rides for all ages, even gentle rides that are ok for wimps that are scared of rides like my sister-in-law! We bought a pass that allowed us to just the queue once for each of the big rides, it was worth the money!
