Portofino's is one of the few restaurants left in the east end of Grand Cayman. For those of you who don't know, Cayman Islands were hit hard by Hurricane Ivan 12 September 2004. Much of the island is still being rebuilt and much of it has been sadly abandoned. The East End of Grand Cayman is the remote side away from the tourists and away from the cruise ships! If you don't mind remote than this is the place to be. There are only about 3 restaurants open currently (September 2005) in the East End so you are not really spoilt for choice….Portofino;s specialty (like most Cayman places) is jerk ...
