...internet and found out that Premier Lodge had some special offers for when we wanted to go and booked a room. When you book on line you reserve with a credit card but have to pay for the room when you arrive. I guess it's to safeguard against cancellations.
Premier Inn is a very basic chain - you get a no frills room with basic facilties, en suit bathroom and a kettle/tv in the room. It was what we wanted. We didn't bother ordering breakfast as ... ...just brought our own food to eat in the room. I wasn't aware of any facilities but then I guess you get what you pay for - it's all very basic.
When we arrived, I was told that the room was £10 more than the price I'd reserved it at. So we had a big argument with the manager about this. As I had all the printed out paperwork from my on line reservation, I was able to prove this and I did pay the price I was expecting. Something to watch out for?

Advantages: Cheap & in a central area Disadvantages: Dirty Room
...for our 2 day stay, Premier lodge charged £54 per night per double room.
There is an underground secure car-park available for £5 per night, of which our car never left the entire stay.
Located on North Street Brighton, premier lodge is central to all the nightlife, restaurants, shops and is 5 mins from the beach.
Premier Lodge offer the following:-
En-suite facilities
Direct dial telephone television and radio
24 hour reception
Wake up alarm
... ...door and browsed the room for 2-3 mins only to realised we were still in bed, then leave!!
This was my first experience with Premier Lodge and it was chosen because of the cost as other accomodation in the area was more expensive, I won't be using them again! ...
