The premier travelinn at charing cross Glasgow is perfect for the city break on a budget or for a conveniently positioned based when on business in the city.
This is a large 12 storey hotel with a restaurant and bar on the first floor. All room are on suite and the price is per room not per person so if you are a family you get extra value from the family rooms at no extra cost. All rooms have remote control T.V. with selected digital channels (No ... ...additional bedding if required.
Breakfast isn't included in the price and to be honest it isn't worth it anyway. As the hotels main negative the breakfast is luke warm and tasteless; got out for breakfast there are no shortages of local cafes and diners in close proximity.
Location is the key selling point for this hotel and here's why. Charing cross is not far from the end of the famous sauchiehall (Soggy hall) street which is the Glasgow equivalent ...

Advantages: Close to town and all amenities Disadvantages: none
...have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home. The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. ... ...a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from it.
If this is the standard that is set with all Premier Inn hotels then I will not think twice about making it my main stay in my future travels. ...

Quick review of Premier Travel Inn Glasgow - City Centre (Charing Cross), Glasgow
I stayed in the Premier Inn Glasgow during the summer of 2008. I got exactly what I expected (apart from Lenny Henry lying on the bed in a stupid bath robe - thank goodness). What I expected was a nice, clean, tidy hotel in the city centre. Excellent value and location, friendly and helpful staff. Room was large with ample storage and, most importantly, the bathroom was clean.
Well worth considering if you are planning a short stay in the city. ...

Advantages: Comfortable, well placed for city, cheap Disadvantages: Area isnt the nicest
Convenience-wise, this hotel is in the perfect spot - just a few minutes walk will take you on to Sauchiehall Street, and there is a mainline train station a few minutes in the other direction. That's really the big selling point here - it is a Travel Inn, so no-one's going to expect anything too luxurious. It is very comfortable though - the rooms have plenty space, the beds are nicely firm without being hard, and everything one needs is available. ... ...here when I attended a wedding in the city, and therefore didnt need to return to the hotel during the day at all, but if I had, there is a large underground car park attached, which means that I wouldnt have had any problems. While I appreciated the location from a convenience point of view, I didnt really think much of the area otherwise. Its not the cleanest part of Glasgow, and it wouldnt impress tourists much. So if your looking for a city break, ...

Advantages: very central Disadvantages: very busy at times
Living in England these past twenty years but coming from scotland i frequently have to travelto glasgow ad have had the pleasure of staying at this travel inn.
The inn itself is sitiuated very central within the heart of glasgow and is easily reached coming from M8 southbound and M74 northbound.
The inn itself is a comfertable place to relax have a nice meal and blow the cobwebs away from an exhausting day.
The rooms are very comfertable and ... ...for most peoples culinary requirements and the food is of a high standard.
Iwould have no problem recommending people try it but it is only my opinion.
postnote.
glasgow is a vibrant throbbing community and staying at the inn gurentees you access to its lively shops boutiques and pubs.
Enjoy

Recently stayed at this premier travel inn while in town for a concert. i found the location ideal and the hotel was clean and tidy.there is a bar at the hotel and it is certainly good value for the money we paid for the room and we took up the £20 meal deal offer which got us a 2 course dinner plus a buffet breakfast the next morning which was an all you can eat style buffet, so you wont go hungry. the only thing that was a little bit annoying is ...
