...across the road or on Princes Street. On top of that the selection in the shops is very small as each outlet is way smaller than is found elsewhere. Recently all the shops have become main stream outlets, but a few years back there was a great selection of shops which you wouldn't see elsewhere and boutiques. What on earth did they do to this place? It may sound like an over simplification but I am pretty darn sure that removing the water feature from this mall was like taking its soul away. Why? There is nothing special about this old (but not old in the good way) building now; it does not feel like a mall, it feels like a collection of cheap but expensive shops. The Princess Mall is getting quieter each day and more and more shops seem to be closing ...

The sort of thing that the Princess Mall tries to get you do include – stepping into a small OurPrice and buying a CD for around £15 when there are two HMVs and one Virgin MegaStore just across the road where you can pick the same CD up for around £12.
