...very crowded but the main Protaras beach usually has plenty of space, most accomodation is only a short walk from the beach. Konnos Bay is wonderful, and often empty. A day trip to the North is a must, would recommend a guy called George..great trip and very imformative.Also a boat trip. Cyprus is a beautiful place, protaras was also beautiful, if not a little bit too englishy though, there wasa stonehenge bar, a flintstones bay, a only fools and horses bar etc, it seemed a little odd. It was beuatiful and relaxing, we stayed at the far end of the resort, which still was in reach of many lovely restuarants but also far out to avoid the nighclub ... could walk to it thou. ...was my second time in Protaras and even better the second time round. The first time i went was with my partner and my 5 year old. The hotel we stayed at was about a two min walk from the beach. The beach which i would reccomend is the best on the island and for familes with small children is fig tree bay. Lost count of times we have been to cyprus the island has changed for the worse over the years,but i will carry on and go back. Protaros is a family oriented resort but has plenty to do for everyone. We stayed a few miles out of Protaros but this was our nearest resort so spent most evenings here. There is a great choice of restaurants, bars and a handful of nightclubs. The restaurants offer a wide choice of food, some doing proper sit down meals, and others more fast foody type places. ...we went to Porkys in protaras centre which is about 5 mins walk away, the beach is about 10 mins walk from Ketsios. Georges supermarket is on the left of ketsios on the opposite side of the road, but there is a supermarket called Orphamedes in Parlimissi which is much cheaper and has a bigger range, buses run there every 30 mins or so from the centre. i have lived in cyprus for 3 years i loved it, it s brilliant it is like summer all year round. you can ride the bannana boats, do paragliding, jet skiing. etc i have tryed all i love jetskis they are brilliant, you feel like your flying. i have never done anything better than jetskiing for 5 hours after that my legs couldnt take it any more. the best place to stay was pergamos, but unfortunatly they knocked it down and built a themepark on it, ...
