Pyramisa Isis Hotel & Suites Luxor, Luxor

Before returning to Luxor in 2008 I had very happy memories of this hotel as it was where I stayed on my second two week visit to Egypt in 1993. At the time we had a good room situated at the back of the hotel which overlooked the hotel pool & the river nile & it was a pleasure to sit out on the balcony in the cooler hours of the morning with a fairly pleasant view. It was here I was also introduced to the Egyptian hospitality as all staff were extremely polite & curteous. This hotel is considered a 4/5 star hotel by Egyptian standards however, There windows were not double glazed and my room overlooked the streets which were exceptionally noisy, it also meant you could hear the prayers from the mosque each morning too. which can be a good thing if you like to wake early. The food was apalling and very expensive, many other people on the trip mentioned the lack of variety of food.
