A quick stay at Quebecs...

Advantages: Wonderfully designed & perfect location
Disadvantages: costly

Quebec's hotel is a boutique townhouse hotel in Leeds. My husband and myself took our first romantic night away here. Our plan was to hit the vibrant lights of the city on the Saturday night along with enjoying the luxury of this gorgeous hotel. This plan was all to change... *Location* Quebec's hotel has brilliant positioning within the centre of Leeds. It is within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and train station. This was one of the ...
...know Leeds too well, therefore, it is always nice to be close to the amenities and transport links. *First impressions & check in* When entering the hotel, the elegance and style of the hotel are immediately apparent. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very eager to help. The decor is classic and premium and the furnishings are very comfortable. The reception desk is on the ground level , next to the Oak sweeping staircase and underneath the large ...

City centre luxury

Advantages: Luxurious hotel in the centre of Leeds
Disadvantages: Very slow room service and small car park

Quebecs We always go away at the beginning of December, and because it's only for one night, it's best if we go somewhere close to home (Newcastle). This time, we decided on Leeds because the last time we had visited, the shopping was good, and the bars and restaurants varied and plentiful. I wanted a reasonably nice hotel because returning back foot weary7 after a day shopping can be a tad unpleasant if the awaiting room/hotel isn't very good. ...
...just what we were looking for, it being not overly big, and not overtly part of a large chain; there are other hotels in the group but it doesn't appear in every city in the same format. The Eton Collection, which is the group Quebecs belongs to is described as "luxury boutique hotels and two restaurants" which are found in London, Leeds and Edinburgh. ~~Where is it?~~ Situated close to the station, this is very close to the city centre. Contact ...

Luxury in Leeds

Advantages: Luxury at a relatively reasonable price
Disadvantages: Limited Parking

I stayed at this 5* hotel on new years eve 2003/2004 and have to say that this is probably the nicest hotel I've ever been fortunate to stay in - so much so, I did not want to leave the room the next day!! The hotel is located in the centre of Leeds almost opposite the train station and just a few minutes walk from Harvey Nicks and the other major shopping, eating and drinking establishments! From the outside it's nothing special, in fact you’d walk ...
...was there, as it’s just a doorway off a little side street on a large Victorian redbrick building. But once inside reception you quickly become aware that this isn’t your average hotel. The grand sweeping staircase that lies behind the reception desk draws your eye up to the huge stained glass windows beyond, each of which depicts a different Yorkshire town. The hotel has 45 individually designed rooms. Some of these are suites, named after a type ...

Oasis of Luxury

Advantages: Luxurious luxury throughout
Disadvantages: No white toast!

As part of our 2 centre break in Yorkshire last week we spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel as we had enjoyed its opulence on a previous visit and were very impressed with its service and luxury previously. We spent 2 nights in a luxury Queen bedded room on a B&B basis and were thoroughly pleased with the hotel. There is limited parking available at the hotel for which you are charged £7 a day which is reasonable for a central Leeds location and ...
...that your car will be there when you need it! The hotel used to be a former Liberal club in the city and has been sensitively transformed into a stylish boutique style modern luxury hotel. The room we stayed in was not too big but had very nice decor and a wonderfully comfortable Queen sized bed with Egyptian cotton sheets and I slept perfectly on it! There is a minibar and satellite TV provided along with complimentary water, turn down at night ...

Best Birthday Gift I ever Bought Anyone!

Advantages: cleanliness, staff, room, toiletries, location, ambiance....the list goes on!
Disadvantages: Food prices

Took my closest friend here for her birthday, booked into one of the hotels themed suites, the licquorice suite (they're all named after classic sweets, get it!), from the moment I called the hotel the staff fell over themselves to be as helpful as they could. Can I have flowers and Champagne in room, why of course sir, can I have different sweets placed in the room as my friend hates licquorice (did i forget to mention, the room is filled with little ...
...genius!), of course sir. I feel that if I had asked them to arrange a brass band to playing in the room when we arrived they would have found a way to make this possible. When we arrived the flowers were gorgeous, the champagne chilled and the glasses set. The seating area was all windows, with stunning views accross to the historic buildings adjacent. The lights could be set on a number of settings, the bed was REALLY comfortable and the bathroom ...
