Advantages: Seafront Location, Extremely Well Priced Disadvantages: Refurb Work Being Done, Overly Warm, No Internet Access
So, I'm sat here having been tasked with performing a full hardware audit at our parent company's various sites spread throughout the UK. Oh the exciting life I lead! The Brighton office is one of the larger ones and as such, required an overnight stay in the seaside resort of Brighton.
So, preamble over, I checked into the hotel having spent pretty much a whole day on the train to get down there.
Greeted by an almost entirely eastern European ... ...that budget, mediocre hotels are often run poorly by eastern Europeans. I only paid £59 for my bed and breakfast stay at the hotel.
In any case, check in was smooth and I was given my big old fashioned key to my room and told that it was on the third floor down a miriad of corridors.

Advantages: contempory rooms, clean, great locatrion and see views, great value Disadvantages: bath quite small, breakfast area a little noisy, coffee undrinkable
...a hotel in Brighton, The Queens hotel is right on the sea front a stones throw from Brighton Pier and a short walk from the shops. I think the hotel has been modernised in recent years as it very contempory. The bathrooms and a slate grey and white affair with a bath and shower over bath. The bedrooms are a contemporary mix of pale whites and blues with dark brown and and zebra print. On our first stay at this hotel we had booked a standard double ... ...view room, which looked staight out on to the pier - lovely. The room was large and split level with the bathroom on the main level and then a few steps down to the bedroom ,which made the room feel very spacious. On the second occasion we stayed in the standard double room which was smaller but still nice.
I think this hotel is great value for money. We stayed for £60 a night in the double room which for this high standard of room is great.

Quick review of Queens Hotel, Brighton
It was very expensive for what we got! (385 euros for 2 nights and that was a special price!) The Website is fantastic but does not reveal the reality at all!
Definitely not for a romantic stay! The swimming pool was dirty, the fitness area old and the sauna/hamman in some kind of cellar (frightening!).
I agree that the location is great (the sea-view rooms are however bothered by the road's noise.
The personnel was nice and the room clean (small bathroom though).
I was expecting much better and that's probably why I am a bit upset... I wanted a romantic place for our first wedding anniversary... ...
