Advantages: Mediocre location, cheap Disadvantages: Could be cleaner, no towel!
I went on holiday recently with a bunch of lads to celebrate our 21st Birthday....what we did in Amsterdam though for that is a different story xD
However on browsing the internet we originally settled on a hotel which was said to be literally 1 minute walk away from the city centre. However due to some stairs being described as the 'Stairs of Death'
We decided to upgrade to a 2* Hotel instead!
On arrival in Amsterdam, we found a booth at the ... ...hotel, and it located it for you and printed it along with tram lines and numbers to get,
So we printed and thought with our luggage, oh that doesn't look far, we'll walk there. And truth be told, it was only what 20 minutes walk away from the centre. Maybe a bit more depending on your walking pace. But with the Luggage it took a little while longer!
On arrival, we checked in, and payed in cash and had to provide them with our passport number (So ...

...sure whereabouts in Amsterdam the Quentin England was, but from past experience, set a price limit. Ten minutes later we arrived at a quiet suburban street with quaint and clean-looking houses and hotels and some emerald greenery to boot.
The doorway into the building was exactly identical to the one in the next building so throughout the stay we kept zoning towards the wrong hotel and then swerving away, but anyway...
The reception area was small ... ...a lovely welcome into the Quentin England!
The receptionist was very rude and spoke little, thrusting forms at me and gazing off into space. Maybe she did not like being shouted at by a room full of people, so i thought nothing of it. Whilst i was waiting for the slowest receptionist in the world to type my details into the computer ( we had booked by the way, yet were stood there for half an hour with our luggage), i snapped up a free guide to ...

Advantages: Reasonably priced, well located comfortable accommodation Disadvantages: Ask not to have the basement room!
...Eventually we found the Quentin England Hotel, reasonably priced 79.20 Euros for two people for one night, exclusive of breakfast. Breakfast was available at a cost of 7 Euros and could be booked online or when at the hotel.
We paid a small deposit of 10% and a small booking fee to the website, the rest would be paid on arrival.
The hotel was conveniently located on a quiet residential street just off the Leidsplein and near to the Museumplein ... ...it does illustrate that the Quentin England Hotel provides good and prompt service - most impressive.
There was some minor noise in the early hours as guests came back to their rooms but this was minimal and short-lived.
Less impressive, though, was the news yesterday that the hotel has charged our credit card twice! But what is very odd is that they actually charged us first on the 10th - three days before our stay! I know that we gave our card ...

Advantages: Cheap Good Location Disadvantages: Noisy Small Rooms Lack of Cleanliness
Depends on what type of group of yous that are coming if your a couple or parents with children or elderly people i would stay away from hotel if your youngsters there to booze and party then this could be your place owing to its excellent location. The staff were very pleasant and helpful even when i turned up 2 hours before i was supposed to check in but the room i had was very small and the rooms were dusty. Another word of warning was the amount ...

Advantages: Close to center Disadvantages: Well, read the review!
We stayed at Quentin England Hotel Amsterdam this summer, for about a week and we really regret it. We wanted to change hotel, but they wouldn`t give us our money back, so we decided to stay. What went wrong?!.....Well, we had ordered a doubleroom, and we got a stampesized room at the third floor, with just a tiny window that could be opened in this VERY small and humid room. Besides that, the room would be a trap in a case of fire: there were no ... ...would occure, and no fireequipment in the room. We had to almost argue to get towels, which wasn`t put there in the bathroom at the time of our arrival.
We complained about the room, and then they were kind enough to give us a bigger one, which was much nicer;- it even had a balcony.
The cleaning were average, sometimes below average and very randomnly. In one week the sheets were changed once or twice. We had to hire a remote controle to the TV, ...
