...the Russell Hotel or the Radisson Edwardian Kenilworth. Now, possibly naively, I had always associated Radisson with upmarket outlets, but had never stayed in any. Although we did have a drink in the R E Hampshire in Leicester Square, and at just under £10 for two cokes and a lemonade, well if money means quality, then it would be OK, wouldn't it? ============================

The room also had a free digitally operated safe, meaning you didn't have to take your prized possessions and all your credit cards with you. The safe could be operated by entering in a number and following the instructions, of alternatively by swiping a credit card.

Advantages: Good location, Friendly staff Disadvantages: Tiny rooms, Horrid bathrooms, TVs seems to be a bit dodgy
I have had the misfortune of staying at the Edwardian Kenilworth a number of times now and I must say it would not my fisrt choice for the future. Location
For me, the location was pretty good as it's central and not too far from tube stations (Tottenham Court Road a few minutes walk). It's very good if you want to go to the British Museum or the theatre as all are nearby. Foodwise, I have found it to be pretty good for coffee shops, restaurants ... ...you want little bits and pieces. I found it quite quiet at night which could be a little off putting, but I have seen no bother so felt safe enough wandering around late from my restaurant. Lobby area
The lobby is pretty de rigeur - slick leather sofas and odd artwork and lots of lighting. I've always found check-in and check out to be very quick, polite and I have been offered wake up calls and newspapers. I have never had an offer to help with ...
