Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa, Mellieha

I left a review on the Mellieha Bay hotel which I felt was a clear and fair review on this hotel, which I have stayed at for more than 17 years. The following comment was left, which I find most unhelpful " Pretend your reader knows nothing of the location, or topic, of your review - then you may find your material becomes more readable, thus attracting better rates. This is not an hotel,it a small village.Its got all you need for a fantastic holiday and more. We [my wife & i] stay here for a week in July 2006.We stayed on a self catering basis though you can have other options,Half board,full board & all inclusive.The rooms are quite large with a king size bed,setee & arm chairs,large screen tv & dvd player,also air-conditioning, built in wardrobes and a full size bathroom.The complex has two large outdoor pools & a heated indoor one,It also has full spa facilitys,hairdressers,shop for food & drinks etc. The restaurants are first class, prices about the ... more

Just come back from a week in the Radisson Golden Sands Hotel (October 2007). The Hotel and Rooms are clean and spacious, however beds especially the sofa beds are every uncomfortable. The food is very expensive and unfortunately is nothing special. Good view overlooking the small beach, and good outdoor swimming pools. Bring your walking boots as the hotel is miles from anywhere. There are no shopping facilities apart from a small gift store, a jewellery store, and a poorly stocked excuse for a food store. my wife and i have had three holidays at this resort and had a lovely time the area is so relaxing the kind of holiday we like.the rooms are spaciouse and presented well lovely decor and carpets bathrooms are great and the view from balcony stuning sea view. the resort is a little way from towns etc but there is a free bus daily and local bus service if required taxis quite good.pools and facilities second to none. food in variouse restraunts exellent overall very good holiday the staff are very friendly and helpfull and are ready to help at all times in my opimion this is a very good get away ... more
