A Taste Of The Wild Side
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
Tricia24
Advantages: Fun, different, kids will love it.
Disadvantages: Can be very busy, and at such times might be too chaotic for adults!
...place to shop and eat"....
Background
The Rainforest Cafes are part of the American chain "Landry's Restaurants" which also includes names such as The Crab Shack, Saltgrass Steak House and Muer Seafood Restaurants, all, as far as I know, unknown in the UK. Rainforest Cafes are reasonably widespread in the USA and can be found in the Disney resorts in both California and Florida and in other major cities such as San Francisco, Chicago and Las ...

Rainforest Cafe
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
worm1976
Advantages: Fun, Excellent Decorations
Disadvantages: Noisy
We booked at the last minute on a Friday night and were seated about one second after we bought a drink at the bar.
We don't have any children but still wanted to check this place out, unfortunately their didn't seem to be any areas where there weren't screaming children but we had expected that and that's the price you pay for a kids themed restaurant, although it's a little disconcerting to have strange children staring at you while you eat!
We ...

Paradise in the middle of london
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by

Advantages: totally unique experience
Disadvantages: none
...have the sound of the rainforest and actual rain falling like curtains of rain - you cannot see the walls and ceiling for plants and fun animatronic animals which were fantastic- from the cheeky parrots as my daughter called them to the gorillas and hidden in the ceiling a leopard, elephants to name but a few
the atmosphere is amazing ! the staff were brilliant and we were looked after very well - they adapted my food for my allergies which was ...

Out of the rain and into the rainforest
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
silverstreak
Advantages: Good atmosphere and special effects
Disadvantages: Pricey, limited selection for adults
...tried to get into the Rainforest Cafe, near Piccadilly Circus in London, when we went to see Mary Poppins, but had been put off by the prospect of an hour's wait for a table, so we promised the kids we would try again another time, particularly as we later found a money off voucher in the Mary Poppins programme. Our mean streak was awakened!
So next time we were in London off we went. This time it was a Sunday and a bit earlier in the day, but ...

Quick review of Rainforest Cafe (London)
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
frankparry
Good decor and atmosphere, kids loved it although food was awful and shockingly expensive. Cheapest bottled beer was £4.50ish, cost £15 for basic burger and a few cheap greasy chips. Kids meal had same lousy chips and about 3 or 4 asda/macro quality chicken nuggets and cost £14... £70 for what you expect from the cheapest greasy spoon or crap pub, simply extortionate! If I wanted to eat crap I would have gone to Mcdonalds and paid £10, though I'm really doing Mcdonalds a disservice... Avoid!

Grandparents, Aunite and Callum @ the Rainforest
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
bostonianbeer
Advantages: Very people friendly
Disadvantages: None we could find
We booked on line to take our daughter Laura, 24 her friend Helen and our grandson Callum 2 years old for lunch. Booking was very simple (even if you are not good at this) and we went in the half term for our daughters birthday, but somewhere children freindly for Callum. We where greeted by freindly staff and the biggest crocodile that I had ever seen. Must say here that Callum was impressed and liked him, but he made you jump the first time we saw ...

Do it once if you must but you've been warned!!
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
efinlay
Advantages: easy to get too, nice decor
Disadvantages: far too crowded, food bad, expensive, long waits
We went one Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago when we were in London for a weekend break. We had booked a table for 2.30 but still had to wait 45 mins before being seated. The decor is lovely - jungle with animals and noises etc but spoiled by the tables being far too closely packed.
The service was very slow and the food was only lukewarm when it arrived. I also think £9.95 for a childs meal is pushing it a bit. My two both chose pizza and it was ...

A real "MUST DO" for your trip to London
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
mandles
Advantages: A truly unique meal experience
Disadvantages: A bit expensive
...as it's downstairs from the rainforest cafe which you initially could just think is a cool shop.
It is in Piacdilly and is a lovely place for adults and children. They do really nice real fruit drinks that are a must. You can sit at the bar on your animal barstool with a tail, sipping away as the sound of lightning echos around you and an elephant in the corner makes a loud noise. Also you can hear and see the rain falling around the bar while a ...

Quick review of Rainforest Cafe (London)
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by

On Friday March 28th after a wonderful meal in different surroundings
our evening was completely ruined by an over officious doorman on the souvenir shop door . I was waiting for the rest of our party buying souvenirswhen the prson in question asked me to leave. On leaving the door person implied that it didn't matter if we didn't visit the Rainforest cafe again. We were not impresed by thr door persons attitude which ruined an otherwise good evening.

Rainforest Cafe - a fun place
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
aingel
Advantages: Fun, friendly atmosphere with good decorations and special effects
Disadvantages: Not too many
The Rainforest Cafe is located in London, near Oxford Street. The restaurant has, obviously by the name, a rainforest atmosphere which includes fake trees, butterflies, gorillas, chimps and elephants (I think I've mentioned them all!) and about every half hour or so you treated to some thunder and lighting effects. The drinks are pretty averagely priced for London and you have a selection of cocktails to choose from.
There is also a good selection ...

Jungle experience
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
hambone1
Advantages: Big kids will love it
Disadvantages: Small kids may be a bit afraid
We loved the Rainforest Cafe, easy to find, Shaftesbury Ave, near Picadilly Circus, look for a shop entrance, as the cafe is downstairs. Clever marketing idea, but a gift on the way in or the way out!
A jungle experience, rainforest trees, creepers, animatronic jungle animals and birds, crocodile infested waters (also animatronic), you go there to have dinner not be dinner! I don't want to give away too much, or it may spoil the adventure if you ...

Cafe on the wild side
Review of Rainforest Cafe (London) by
EarthGirl
Advantages: Easy to get to
Disadvantages: Anamatronic animals can get annoying
Rainforest cafe
Great for kids and adults who havent quite grown up yet. I went there at christmas with some of my friends as we couldn't be bothered to wait 2 hours for a table in TGI fridays.
The food is good and about the same price you would pay in TGIs so is quite reasonable for the west end of London. It is situated on shaftsburry avenue very close to Picadilly Circus and so it is very easy to get there.
The whole place is decorated to look ...
