    Advantages Advantages Well located, breakfast included, nice staff, security of a sort

    There are lots of ways to rate a hotel - do they have a nice pool? Friendly service? A well equipped business centre? A concierge team who can get you into sold out shows and fully booked restaurants? Me, I'm going back to basics, and my recently updated criteria for whether or not to recommend a hotel include: * Does it have constant, uninterrupted electricity? * Does it have running water? * Do the doors lock and the windows shut?
