Regency Hotel - Queen's Gate, London

My partner and I booked a room, with bed and breakfast as we were attending a concert at the nearby Royal Albert hall. The cost of the room was £126, which seems expensive for bed and breakfast worked out as fairly good value considering it is within easy walking distance of South Kensington tube station (5 minutes), the Natural History museum (5 minutes), The Royal Albert Hall, and Hyde park about 10 minutes. it was four stars but more than twenty years ago! The hotel is in very nice location and look really beautiful from outside and in the reception, but one floor up and there is a big difference. Hotel rooms are very small and dark , so we immediately wanted to be upgraded and after 30 minutes of waiting we moved into suite. the suite was bigger, but a lot more expensive and still very old. shower was leaking, minibar was empty, heating did not work ...
