Advantages: Design hotel, good breakfast, nice area
Disadvantages: Not in the very center of the city

I have been in the "Rex Hotel" for a long weekend in April 2008. The area The hotel is situated in a quiet street 10-15 minutes walking from the center. In this area there are a lot of supermarkets (including one Lidl), restaurants (Italians, Chineses) and a lot of take aways. There is also a 7eleven that closes around 11.00 pm.
