    Advantages Advantages Hustle, bustle, colour, bargains

    What, would you say, is that curious-looking building depicted in the photo at the top of this page? Of course, quick as a flash, you are likely to reply “Riga Central Market”, having cunningly read the caption beside it. And you’d be part right. No more than part right because it is only one of five almost identical buildings that house just the indoor section of the market, with – in the summer at least – another area of similar size for stalls outside.     Advantages Advantages Good selection of fruit, vegetables, clothing, meat products, pretty low prices of all goods

    I stayed at a hostel that was within the heart of the Central Market. The market place is made of an indoor centre that is quite large in terms of size and people employed. In the indoor area are traders who sell a wide range of meat products. In the outdoor market area are traders who sell a wide range of consumer products. The main focus on the outdoor market is traders selling fresh fruit and vegetables.
