Roda, Corfu

Roda, Corfu is an excellent holiday if you are looking for a relaxing trip with great weather, lovely food and friendly locals. This is the perfect holiday for couples or older tourists. The scenery is beautiful, very green and plenty of olive groves. The beach was peaceful on both of our visits - but this was September. ...were loads of positives with Roda, but it did appear to be different to the type of holidays i was used to in Tenerife. Me and the missus stayed at the Roda studios that are virtually on the beach. These were all self catering and clean and modern. july 2005 i went to roda and the first two days i spent was on a packed beach, not what i liked when i want privacy without some other breathing down your neck when your trying to tan, that was untill i spoke to one of the locals who guided me to another section of the beach around the rock face a much quieter part less shingle and all the sun you want, to the far left of the main beach go over the bridge where you will find wild terripins and turtles ...

RODA BEACH HOTEL IN RODA, CORFU. Holiday taken in May '99. Very enjoyable. This hotel was comfortable and quite faultless. On the North coast of Corfu lies a the small village of Roda. It is nicely placed between the larger towns of Sidari and Acharavi. Roda has a long sandy beach which stretches up to Acharavi, it is kept very clean and cleared of rubbish daily. We went to Roda in Corfu in July 2002 and stayed at the Roda Oasis Hotel. This is a small family run hotel with some self catering apartments (28 & 13 room respectively. Direct Holidays misrepresented the hotel by saying air conditioning and cooking facilities were available in all rooms, but they are only in the self catering apartments. Apart from that it was a good holiday. The hotel is looked after by 2 brothers, Costas and Nicos who are assisted ...

Upon arrival in Roda,i was greeted with false impressions, the scenery from the plane was fantastic, matched again by the view from the bus. However hopes of a visual treat were dashed when i arrived at the appartment. Stepping off the bus i was greated by a shanty looking buildings,and a hum of filth in the air. my wife and i recently traveled to roda in corfu,where we met what must be the friendliest people on earth. Nothing was to much bother no matter where you went you were always made wellcome and the staff everywhere made a point of remembering you when you retuned to their establishment.
