    Earlier in the year I had the pleasure of spending a couple of weeks on Royal Caribbean's 'MS Independence of the Seas' - a fifteen-thousand tonne cruise ship, upon which I traveled over 7,000 miles. A town at sea Having not been on a cruise before, I really didn't know what to expect, and was in for a shock when I saw the ship for the first time. The Independence is currently the largest passenger vessel ever built, measuring a massive 1,111.9ft.     Advantages Advantages Killer service, great food & drinks, the best room service ever, great entertainment.

    My wife & I recently cruised on the biggest ship afloat (at the time), Royal Caribbean's Freedom of The Seas. We planned our Caribbean cruise a year in advance which upon doing so ensured we had a good choice of cabins. We chose a cabin with an outside balcony on deck 9 towards the stern of the ship, roughly two thirds back on the port side. Even though we booked in advance by a year, over four fifths of the cabins had been taken. These cruises are very popular so give yourself plenty of time before your intended holiday.     Wow! I have just returned from a holiday of a lifetime , onboard the Royal Caribbean ship , 'Independence Of The Seas' - it was fantastic!! As some of you may already know (I have mentioned it in plenty of reviews during the past few months , that I was going on a cruise) , and after waiting (impatiently) for almost ten months , the time arrived on Saturday 5th June and lasted until Saturday 19th June , and so my holiday has quickly and sadly been and gone! Settle in for a host of adjectives as I share my latest cruise on what was dubbed by pre-sail marketing as ''the biggest passenger cruise ship in the world''.     I recently returned from a family holiday aboard Brilliance of the Seas. Firstly I will say it was an amazing holiday, absolutely brilliant in every way I can think of! I will try to split up this review so that it is easier to read. ♥ The start of the holiday: We did a 12 night Mediterranean cruise aboard Brilliance of the Seas.     Brilliance of the Seas We spent seven nights and eight days cruising on the Royal Caribbean ship, ’The Brilliance of the Seas’. We boarded the ship in Dubai and then visited Fujairah, Muscat in Oman, Abu Dhabi and then returned to Dubai. This was our first cruise and we chose this as it was short so if we hated it we would not ha eto suffer too long and secondly because we really wanted to explore the area of the Gulf a little and this gave us the opportunity to visit a few places without having to pack and move on to a new place each day.     Taking a cruise had always been something that I thought I would never get a chance to do. You see so many adverts on the TV, or brochures at the travel agents. They all looked so luxuries and I felt that it can only be a dream. But, 2 years back, that dream came true. My husband had taken the day off work, saying he was ill. I went to work as usual.     This was my first cruise and I was DREADING it! I hated the thought of being confined to one ship for 14 days; I thought I would have been bored stiff! I was also terrified that I would be seasick. I was completely wrong; I have never had such a great, fun-filled holiday and seasickness......what’s that? Before I start we were on a back to back cruise, which means even though we were on the same ship for two weeks, it was classed as two separate cruises.     Earlier this year my friend and I went to America for our holidays. We decided to combine a trip to Florida with a cruise. As this was to be our first ever cruise we opted for a 3 night cruise to find out whether we liked it or not. It would be murder if we found ourselves on a two week cruise and were sea-sick all the time. If we enjoyed it we could then go on a longer one next time.     The moment I arrived at the Port of Miami and saw the Voyager of the Seas towering above me, I knew I was in for a holiday to remember. This initial impression was confirmed when I arrived in my stateroom on board (which was well equipped and spotlessly clean) and had my first chance to explore the ship.
