The Royal Windsor offers all the trappings of a high-class hotel:
24 hour room service, fitness club, laundry service, garage, sauna etc. etc. The multi-channel TV has pay-per-view movies and even the UK channels BBC 1 & 2. The en-suite bathrooms are well equipped and the bedrooms are generally very nice if a little on the small size. I found the room got a little stuffy but the windows can be opened and it is not too noisy ... ...enough to be assigned one of the rooms on the Godiva floor then not only do you get an even more opulent room you also get free box of Godiva chocolates - alas, having booked two rooms, only one was on this floor.
The bargain weekend rate also includes a buffet breakfast; if you are used to these being miserable affairs tucked away in a windowless basement away from the proper restaurant then you are in for a very pleasant surprise. The buffet takes ...
