Advantages: Everything you could want and more. Disadvantages: none
this reminds me of when I wrote those dreaded postcards and then forgot to post them!!
On the last bank holiday Monday we set off from our house in Hampshire, early (6.20am) to meet up with my sister inlaw and a friend of my husbands and then we all set off in convoy for North Devon.
Having gone the scenic route, my hubby likes winding up the other men you see, up Porlock Hill which is a notorious steep hill just past Minehead in Somerset on the ... ...a few stops for food and toilets.
We finally arrived at the campsite at just after 1pm and by this time the children were more than slightly bored being in the car.
First impressions of the campsite were that it looked clean well managed and organised. This opinion only got better as we noticed litter being picked up daily and the rubbish being collected from your tent twice daily and they even provided us with a new black bag every time they took ...

Advantages: Location, great accommodation, facilities. Disadvantages: Weather, local transport.
...I think I've stayed at Ruda Holiday Park 1, 2, 3…7 times! I first visited when I was only 12 years old. We returned a year later and, well, just got in the habit of going back year after year.
I think the main reason for our repeated visits is the convenience of everything. Ruda Holiday Park is in the beachside village of Croyde Bay, North Devon - close to Woolacombe. From the site it is only about a 2 minute walk to Croyde Bay beach, so no expensive ... ...adds to its charm.
Ruda Holiday Park is aimed at families, but you'll find couples, pensioners, teenagers, surfers all taking advantage of what it has to offer. I'm well into my twenties and still enjoying it. I can't guarantee what kind of weather you'll get here, but I can guarantee you'll have a great time. ...

Advantages: Right on the beach Disadvantages: Seaguls!
I recently stayed at the Ruda Holiday Park, Croyde Bay in Devon for a short break, camping, reading and drinking cider.
The choice sites to stay in in Croyde isn't massive and I think that it is fair to say that Ruda has the monopoly in the area, with such a large site right on the 'Blue Flag' golden beach.
Prices were reasonable at £13 per pitch per night in July (pitches are big enough to fit 3 or 4 two man tents on, and have ample space for ... ...01271 890 477 Ruda Holiday Park Croyde Bay, North Devon OR

There's also a range of self-catering accommodation at Ruda Holiday Park. You can choose from lodges or beachside apartments, a value-for-money caravan holiday home or latest model with central heating, double glazing and DVD player.!
So it said! I though prefer my tent!
I would reccommend this place to all, especially if you have a young family, peaceful yet ...

Advantages: Near the Beach Disadvantages: Expensive for what you get and paying extra for swimming pool
On a return visit - and after upgrading to supposedly a better caravan and paying the difference, all I can say that it was incredibly disappointing. Earwigs in the fridge and an oven looking like it had not been cleaned since the caravan was bought. Windows cracked, cobwebs everywhere and filthy crockery and cutlery. Verandah covered in ancient bird droppings and totally unsafe patio set. We had been given a private caravan that had become available ... ...in some respects. Upon complaining they were apologetic but following the holiday we were offered a mere £50 off our next holiday there with an explanation that unfortunately sometimes things go wrong. Certainly will not go again or recommend it. Staff were apologetic but considering we had been kept waiting in the car part for some 5 hours because the caravan was waiting to be cleaned it was a total fabrication. There is no way it had been cleaned. ...

Advantages: Great location and very good amenities Disadvantages: Caravans are a bit small
We just got back from a week's stay at this holiday camp. It was fantastic! I don't think it would be possible to find a better location in Britain. The countryside is gorgeous, as were all the beaches in the area. The beach at Croyde Bay is right there at the camp - it's actually owned by Parkdean. The village is almost too pretty to believe, with charming thatched cottages. There are three good pubs, a post-office and small shop, and a restaurant ... ...one of the caravans. it was clean and and had a well-equipped kitchen. One warning: the twin beds are too small for tall adults. The kids got on just fine on them, and the inlaws had the double, but I and my husband ended up sleeping in the lounge.
The camp had plenty of good amenities. There was a grocery store, chippy, games arcade, restaurant with a pub, and Costa coffee shop that served breakfast, as well as having a couple of PAY-GO Internet ...
