Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: basic service, lack of destinations from Scotland
Ryanair seem to get a lot of bad publicity and lots of negative opinions in newspapers etc. I don't understand it, it is after all a low cost, basic, no frills service. If you want extras try flying with BA, but be warned you will pay heavily for them. I use this airline regularly from Glasgow (Prestwick) to Brussels or Frankfurt and although I have had a couple of delays, I have had delays with every other airline I've used. I flew recently with ... ...both occasions the outbound and inbound flights were either bang on time or early. Sure, it's cramped and it can be a bit of a stampede to get your seat but c'mon, it's only a 90 minute flight. Some say that the destination airports are out of the way, and that IS true, but they are also pretty quiet and easy to get in and out of. Try driving to or from Heathrow or any other major city airport, for that matter. Besides, just because you are flying ...

Advantages: Cheap flights, painless booking thanks to the easy to use web site Disadvantages: not many
...I have used Ryanair on 3 occasions now and would highly recommend them to anyone. Their website, www.ryanair.com is very easy to use and their online booking service excellent. When they have the special offers on, the website can be a little slow and I was thrown out several times but generally it is very easy to use and very quick. It offers you several chances to pull out before purchasing flights and the full cost is broken down and clearly shown.
... ...a note of the booking confirmation number given on the website as you will need this to confirm your booking and collect your flight coupons at the airport. I have never yet queued at Prestwick check in, the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable and each flight I have taken with them has been on time.
When boarding you just sit anywhere so the plane usually boards fairly quickly as everyone just gets on and sits down, there is no looking ...

Advantages: Cheap. Unbelievably Cheap if you look hard enough. Disadvantages: You get what you pay for....which isn't a lot!
Ryanair is an amazingly cheap airline. Frankly, I don't know how they do it, sometimes - and yet they're profitable, so they must be doing something right. At the price, you cannot complain about legroom, you cannot complain about the lack of an in-flight meal (especially when the flight is so short), and you should not really complain about the fact that - when they say they'll fly you from A to B - they actually land you at C, because their site ... ...don't know whether to recommend Ryanair to a friend or not, but it's a required field. I've decided to recommend, since they offer such incredibly low prices. Were my friend at all nervous about flying, or if they actually NEEDED to get to their destination (especially on time), then I probably wouldn't. I hope this helps you to decide! You're intelligent and you're in possession of at least some of the facts. Make up your own mind! That's the great ...

This was to be my first time with Ryan. Yes, there had been others in the past but the first time with someone new is always meant to be special, isn’t it? Will they live up to expectations? Will it be a satisfying experience? Well, I was about to find out.
I had heard others tell of their experiences with Ryan – some had enjoyed it, others were more scathing. But I wanted to make up my own mind.
I was lucky that I had won the opportunity ... ...pay for the privilege although I understand his charges are reasonable. I was sent information regarding our meeting place and I duly turned up at the assigned place and time. But I didn’t get to see him straightaway – oh no, you are met by his assistants who ensure you are meant to be there and who take any bags you may have brought with you. His assistants were very pleasant and explained that I would have to go to a special area at ...

Advantages: Very good price, from £4.50 one-way Disadvantages: Poor customer relations - poor explanation of "Point to Point" policy
...because of a deal between Ryanair and the airport, this was still by far the cheapest option.
Ryanair fly to Stansted, which is 40 minutes by train to the centre of London, so I was aware that I would need to add on another train fare - it was still going to work out cheaper.
The outward trip went perfectly smoothly. No hassle, no delays. The return trip was a totally different story.

Apparently, Ryanair are a "point to point" airline, and will have no responsability after they get you to your final AIRPORT destination.
I had to be in Edinburgh that night, because of my exam the next morning. I went ahead and got the train into Glasgow, as I knew there was a bus at around 12mindnight. Of course, my run of bad luck continued - and I missed ...

Advantages: Cheap Tickets, Good reliable service Disadvantages: No pre assigned seatig
...have booked and flown with Ryanair many times now, most recently from Prestwick to Stansted and back this week. Lots of people pay for low cost air tickets and then expect 1st class service. I have to admit, I don’t really like the low cost experience, in particular the free for all when it comes to seats, however I am prepared to put up with that when I can fly to London and back for 1p plus government taxes. History of Ryanair
----------------------
Ryanair has been flying for an incredible 18 years now, having set up with a 15 seater turbo prop plane following airline deregulation across Europe in the 1980’s. Remember the industry pre de-regulation, when prices were fixed, and it didn’t matter if you went BA or Aer Lingus, the fares were identical and the service was mediocre. They didn’t set up as ...

...The Deal ~*~*~*~* Ryanair if a budget airline. While the safety aspect remains the same, there are subtle changes to your flying experience, including: · 15 kg baggage allowance. Less than the standard 20kg, but at these prices you can’t complain. You can check in as many bags as you like up to that weight limit, and are also allowed a small one to carry on. Ryanair has the most routes and the lowest prices of the budget airlines that have hubs in London. Ryanair also has hubs in Shannon and Dublin, Glasgow, Brussels, and Frankfurt. Ryanair has an easy-to-navigate website from which you can book your flights. You simply give them your confirmation code at the airport and you're all set. One problem with this airline is that it doesn't fly out of Heathrow. So, it can cost you as much as the flight to actually get to the airport! (Stansted Airport is 45 minutes by train from central London and it costs around £20 to get there and back.) But you still save ...

I have read a few reviews on Dooyoo and Ciao about the budget airline Ryan Air and it always surprises me how people seem to forget that you get what you pay for in this world. Because of this I have decided to write my own review as I fly regularly with Ryan Air. *Background*

The point is that as a flight fills up, the price rises. No two people sitting next to each other are likely to have paid the same price.

...far I've only travelled with Ryanair once: a return trip from London Stansted to Hamburg/Lubeck.
The most striking thing about Ryanair - and the very thing that lured me in - are their fares. How on earth can they make a profit charging such unbelievably small amounts? Whether this is a Ryanair issue or a problem with Stansted itself I do not know.
As I mentioned earlier, Ryanair do not issue tickets. No tickets means no seat allocation. The reason was soon apparent: first come, first served. The moral is, if you want a window/aisle/seat ...
