FREE Air Fares Soon

Advantages: Cheap prices.
Disadvantages: Bit like being in a cattle truck!!

~ ~ Ryanair are an Irish company, started here in Dublin back in 1985 by Irish entrepreneur Dr. Tony Ryan. There first ever route was a daily flight from Waterford airport to London Gatwick, using a tiny fifteen seater propeller aircraft. Dr. Ryan wanted to fly from the capital Dublin, but the state carrier, Aer Lingus, along with the British company British Airways, had a monopoly on most of the UK routes at that time, which was guarded very jealously. ...
...~ ~ In 1986 Ryanair “broke” this monopoly situation forever, when they started scheduled flights from Dublin to London for the then unheard of price of only £94.99 return. Aer Lingus at the time were charging £209 for the same route. Since that time the air fares between Dublin and the UK have dropped like a stone, and I’m sure many of you reading are only too aware of the great “bargain deals” that Ryanair now offer ...

FLYIN WITH RYAN

Advantages: Low cost and decent service
Disadvantages: Do not flyout of Belfast

I recently took a cut-price flight from Dublin to Gatwick with Ryan Air. I booked the flights online at www.ryanair.ie/com. The flights cost approximately £70 STG (online the price will be in punts if you go via the Irish site like l did). The cheapest flight l could get from Belfast to Gatwick was £200 with British European – the 2.5 hr trek from Belfast to Dublin was definitely worth £130. ABOUT RYAN AIR They were established in 1985 with ...
...London Gatwick. In the first year, the company’s 57 employee’s carried over 5000 passengers on it s one route. Before Ryan Air was established the average price of a flight between Dublin and London was around £200 and with Ryan Air costing £70 – spot the difference!! DESTINATIONS Ryan Air fly out various destinations in both the United Kingdom and Europe. I thought ld give you sample – full listings can be found on the ...

The Wind Beneath My Wings

Advantages: Cost effective, friendly, and easy to book
Disadvantages: The food is pricey and it's unallocated seating

Being one of the most well known budget airlines I was expecting everything to be geared towards cost reduction and saving money wherever they can. I am please to say that I was wrong. I booked the tickets over the Internet, rather obviously trying to find the cheapest fare possible. The website was swift and easy to use however the only way to search for the cheapest flights if you were variable on your departure and return dates was trial and ...
...the tickets this little person in the back of my mind always wondered if there was a cheaper alternative. Moving forward to the date of travel and when checking in there were a couple of desks open and the queue moved quickly and efficiently. The procedure was standard although we were handed two bizarre bits of laminated card that served as our boarding passes. It was then that I remembered that you did not have allocated seating and had to rush ...

Ryanair - cheaper than parking! (provided you avoided the extras)

Advantages: Cheap prices
Disadvantages: Lots of potentially (un)avoidable charges

Ryanair is a low budget airline you either love or hate. They were established in 1985 but is completely different from the company since Michael O'Leary started managing the company in 1991. --- the BASICS --- Ryanair is a budget airline. This, for those of you who have lived under a rock for the last 10 years, means that air fares are cheap but passengers must endure lots of optional extras like food. In terms of Ryanair their charges are truly ...
...is East Midlands - which Ryanair serves. I have travelled with them for about 5 times so I can make a bit of a comment on their service - see below. --- CHARGES ---- So Ryanair is infamous for their unreasonable optional extras. So what actually do they charge for? Lets take an example. I want to travel from East Midlands to Dublin and am willing to spend within reason (i.e. I will not excessively book luggage or check in at the airport). I looked ...

Ryanair - cheap and expensive

Advantages: Cheapest Airline I know
Disadvantages: Unconvenient airport destinations

...my experience to others. Ryanair is well known as one of the cheapest and in my oppion even the cheapest airline I know. Sometimes you can get flights for a few pounds or eaven for free. Free seats are a common stategy to attract new customers. I would like to break my report down in different sections to allow the reader making best use of it: Service in the Air: Ryanair does not not provide any food or drinks and this is part of their policy. ...
...medal has two sides. Generally Ryanair has the cheapest prices one can dream of. Flights for 20-40 Pounds return are likely to happen. Sometimes they even offer free seats as part of pomotional acitivies. One must consister that tax/airport charges and another 5 Pounds for credit card usage is put on top. But even after that it is still (in my oppion) the cheapest airline. The second side of the medal will be introduced in the next part. Accessability: ...

Only use them as a last resort

Advantages: Cheapish, modern clean planes, punctual
Disadvantages: Lousy staff, destinations can be miles from advertised airport

I have used Ryanair three times in the past 18 months, all flights from Scotland to Dublin. Each time the prices were reasonable, they were punctual & the planes were modern & clean. What more could I ask for? If my local bus service or train company could match these standards I would be chuffed to bits, but I still would only fly Ryanair as a last resort. Before you book & get all excited about their cheap flights, consider for a minute where ...
...the main airports around Europe, Ryanair target smaller ones that have much lower charges, in this way they can keep their prices down. Not a bad thing, however many of these airports are miles form the advertised destinations. One example is Glasgow Prestwick, if you think you can fly to Glasgow Prestwick & be in Glasgow in minutes you are in for a shock. Prestwick is in Ayrshire, about 30 minutes travelling time in a taxi to & from Glasgow city ...

Cheap and not so cheerful airline

Advantages: cheap, goes from Leeds airport, several destinations, cheap,
Disadvantages: apparent uncaring attitude of staff, not allocated seats

...I got an e-mail from Ryanair telling me that there was a special offer for tickets for 1p each way...and of course, being a bit of a bargain hunter and enjoying flying to foreign cities, I was hooked. SO I looked on the website. I searched for the penny each way bit on the website and eventually found it..what it hadn't said in the e-mail was that the offer only applied to Tuesdays and Wednesdays..obviously the days that they had least bums on seats... ...
...My dad even said that Ryanair was still operating propellor powered planes to Dublin, and as I hadn't a clue that he was pulling my leg, I wasn't looking forward to that bit- with an outside toilet, too, I thought! Anyway, it wasn't, as it turned out and it was a relatively modern plane. Funny how the plane exit signs and the seatbelt on signs were all different...probably borrowed bits from the plane scrapyard! Check in was fairly efficient and ...

My Ryanair experience

Advantages: quick direct flights,
Disadvantages: rude staff, extortion prices for food, alot of charges if you are not careful

...to discuss my experience with Ryanair and detailing the advantages and disadvantages. In early June I have decided to go and see my grandma in Poland, although I didn’t have much money on me at the time, I had just enough to buy a ticket from Ryanair using the cheap flights website. The website were I booked my ticket seemed very user friendly and clear. Another reason why I chose Ryanair is because they had direct flights to Gdansk, comparing to ...
...on the plane in the Ryanair magazine it said that it was £15. After I had arrived in Liverpool Street which took me about 45 minutes I had to buy a underground ticket for £4 home which took me another 45 minutes home. Overall I have spent a total of £210, Ryanair has only got cheap airline tickets but there is a lot more you have to pay for. Overall I would give Ryanair 4/10. Although it was a direct journey, I had to pay many charges that they were ...

How to get the cheapest flights ...

Advantages: Finds the cheapest flights
Disadvantages: You need to be more flexible with flying dates

Flying Ryanair is all about saving money. You don't expect the best service or the most frills. So how do you get the best deal? My tip is to use their web site and be prepared to juggle your flying dates. There's a huge variation in prices depending on when you choose to fly. Weekends tend to be more expensive, which is pretty understandable, but there's a whole lot of strange pricing going on too. For example, a friend of mine recently wanted a ...
...a certain day, but, by saying that he wanted to return on the following Wednesday he saved about £40 - yep, a return ticket for less than the price of a single. You can sometimes also lower price of an outbound journey by changing the day of the return journey. Don't ask me how this works but it does so if you want the cheapest flight spend some time playing with the online booking system. ...

...said for boarding. So that Ryanair can offer you the cheapest possible flights, they cut back wherever possible. To this end, they do not pre-assign seats, they do not provide free meals and drinks, and they tend to avoid the expensive major airports such as Heathrow. If you book early you can pick up some fantastic bargains, for example, I recently flew to Pisa in Italy with Ryanair for £50 return (inclusive of tax). The main disadvantage with ...

Yet another Ryanair - I know why it's so cheap!

Advantages: Cheaper to fly to Europe than taking the rail to Stansted
Disadvantages: When it's time to board..........It's a scram

Ryanair should award me the first prize in frequent cheap traveller to Treviso. I fly with them about six times a year to visit my family over there. With a little organisation and advance online booking the whole flight never costs more than £30 return which is absolutely great, considering that the transfer from my home in London to Stanstead airport by bus to Liverpool Street Station and then by Stansted Express costs exactly the same, I feel ...
...first I used to scram with everyone else for the window seats. Believe me it's not worth the rush on the tarmac. First of all the window seats are directly above the curvature of the plane's fusellage and offer therefore very little leg room. Secondly, once carefully adjusted in the seat, you can forget getting up for a walk and a stretch as you's have to climb over the two other fellow passengers next to you. No, the scram is not for me. I prefer ...

COME FLY WITH ME LETS FLY AWAY

Advantages: very cheap flights
Disadvantages: time of cheapest flights

...ryanair, so there is a ryanair customer service at the beginning of the departure gates. We where told to queue by the ticket sequence number on the ticket, 1-60 by the walkway, 61-160 by the window. I was amazed we were on the plane within 10 minutes and the plane was on the way to the runway. The plane was a new Boeing 737-800, very clean, and im a big guy but I didn’t feel uncomfortable, I would have liked more legroom, but it wasn’t horrendous. ...
...Because a lot of ryanair flights use airports outside the cities there is normally a coach service into the city. The one to Venice coach station departs 30 minutes after each flight arrival and takes 1 hour, it cost 8 euros for a return trip, and you are given a timetable with the times of the return coaches, they normally leave the coach station 3 hours before your flight departure. The return flight was the same, the departure airport is very ...

...say now that I rate Ryanair higher than British Midland and Lufthansa and they are not the different to BA. The whole flight was a pleasure from the customer service to the food. ...positive outcomes, lets hope that Ryanair learn from this experience, and ensure if this happens in the future, they deal with it more pro-actively. I have experienced a decompression in my career, and they are not pleasant at all, extremely noisy, extreme cold, total confusion, lost masks, that is what surprised me, even with my experience. The Cabin crew again seem to let the airline down time and time again, they need to realise that should probably just get over themselves and get the ...
