...week away. Tough - Ryanair only let you have 15kg (unlike every other airline). They decide to cancel your flight and put everyone on the next flight so there's one full flight rather than 2 half-full flights - what else do you expect for the fare you pay.
Not only that but the destinations are nowhere near the main city. Charleroi, for instance, is WAY out of Brussels. So is Stansted, for that matter. And how clear is it on the website? Not very.
... ...the fare was cheap. Yes, I got there [roughly] on time.
Was it worth it? No.
It cost me more in time travelling to their out-of-the-way airports, in food on the plane and in the airport, and in train/bus/taxi costs. By the time MY time was factored it, I'd do better flying direct to Brussels with BMI, or to London City with FlyBe or Scot Airways. ...

Advantages: Cheap fares Disadvantages: No Food or Drink (you buy these on plane if you want), not much room on plane, don't get allocated seats.
***INTRODUCTION***
RyanAir is Europe's largest budget airline. Visit www.ryanair.com to see what they have to offer. You will find flights which will cost you pennies! Taxes must be added on to these ticket prices, but you will still end up with incredibly cheap tickets. I have used Ryanair once (in February 2006).
***DESTINATIONS***
Ryanair deal with short flights to places such as Berlin, Rome, Riga and Venice. The planes are suited to short ... ...tickets are so cheap. Ryanair does however hand-out menu's to the passengers. You can order food and drink from this, but it is not cheap. It is a good idea to purchase some food and snacks to take on the plane with you.
Obviously there is no entertainment on Ryanair i.e. no television or radio. So I advise you to take a book or newspaper with you.
***STAFF***
I had no negative experience in regards to the Ryanair staff in the airports or on the ...

Advantages: Very cheap online booking Disadvantages: Takes some playing with to find the cheapest
I haven't actually flown with Ryanair yet so can't comment on the experience. A few of my friends have and they recommend it - especially for the price. And this is the point! We compromise our expectations for a cheap deal. So how do we get the best deal from Ryanair? My tip is to use their web site and be prepared to juggle your flying dates. There's a huge variation in prices depending on when you choose to fly. Weekends tend to be more expensive, ... ...strange pricing going on too. For example, a friend of mine recently wanted a one way ticket to Spain and had to fly on a certain day, but, by saying that he wanted to return on the following Wednesday he saved about £40 - yep, a return ticket for less than the price of a single. You can sometimes also lower price of an outbound journey by changing the day of the return journey. Don't ask me how this works but it does so if you want the cheapest ...

Advantages: Great value for money Disadvantages: A bit like getting on the bus!
Now I've only flown with Ryanair the once, but really I've no complaints. Even the bit about getting on the bus!
I flew with them from Teesside International Airport to Dublin in March of this year. The seats were booked online by a friend, and even though we only booked up about a week before it was only about £90 each return. The prices vary depending on how full the plane is, so they tend to start very cheap, rise and then in the last couple ... ...was very good. With Ryanair you can take up to 15kg of hand luggage as well as the allowance for the hold (I believe that is 20kg as it is for most flights), this means for short breaks you can avoid the usual wait for badgs at the other end by taking a small trolley case for example as your hand luggage.
On board the plane, the boarding was well organised and although there is no pre-booked seating 6 of us got sat together no problem. Basically ...

Advantages: cheap quick easy close to paris Disadvantages: none
I have flown with Ryan air from Glasgow Prestwick to Paris Beavaois a couple of times and it is excellent value with the very handy flight times. Both times the price has worked out at under £60 return (inc tax) and the flight leaves early sat a.m. and returns sunday evening. The Ryan air website also has a very useful hotel booking section with (surprise, surprise) a cheap & nice selection.
When the route opened Ryan air got had some bad press ... ...miles outside - this is no problem as it takes about 1 hr on a coach to the centre of Paris. This is £5 each way. Beauvais is an excellent airport (really!), as it has a terminal the size of a small shed & seems to get only 1 flight a day. This means you are off the plane, bags picked up & on the coach in about 5 mins having walked about 100m max. No queues, no fuss, no long walks etc. Very relaxing. ...

It's the second time I have flown Ryanair, having also used Go and EasyJet extensively.

Advantages: Amazing deals on cheap flights to great destinations Disadvantages: Not always on time (but who is these days!)
Since the price increase and quality decrease in Easy Jet flights I have looked elsewhere for European travel and discovered Ryan Air.
Ryan Air offers have astounded many people this summer with tickets from £1 you have to question the sanity of those in the driving seat, but who am I to complain having taken advantage of the insanity to the fullest.

...with me to Italy via Ryanair recently, and having never succumbed to its horrors asked me apprehensively: 'What's it like?' My reply? 'You know how they transport cattle...?.'
And honestly, that is how I see it. To me, their theory is - you pay low prices, you get low levels of customer service. Often I've had rude, unhelpful orange-coloured women begrudgingly answer my questions; once without any warning one of them snatched my bag from me and ... ...out. No apology, no explanation, nothing. You'll often find yourself waiting in a hot terminal for long periods as you are jostled from all sides by other travellers desperate to push their way to the front of the queue. There is a system, generally, whereby seat numbers 0-90 are seated first, but on a recent jaunt to Dublin? Some rude women with seats not in that bracket pushed their way to the front, feigned ignorance and were still seated ahead ...

Ryanair is cheap, ok advantage out of the way. But Ryanair, does not know how to treat customers in my experience they are rude, unhelpful, arrogant and disinterested in customer satisfaction. News to ryanair, price does not always win.

Advantages: Cheap, frequent services Disadvantages: No frills, but who cares at that price?
Ryanair has become a major rival for BA in recent years as a low-cost airline, which offers substantial cuts in price with a no-frills service. Based in Ireland (Website: www.ryainair.ie) , the company adopts a good attitude to customers - they are aware of how poor the national rail network is and take advantage of this, and quite correctly so.
Currently, fares from Glasgow Prestwick to London Stansted are quoted at the astonishingly low price ... ...the customer still wins. If Ryanair advertised their return flights to London at £21.70 all inclusive, they would still have to beat the customers off with sticks. Also, check on the website, there may be further reductions when booking online.
