SACRAMENTO HOSTEL
I stayed here during October 2000 and was delighted by the location, the rooms and the price! For about £10 a night I stayed in a private room of this converted 1885 mansion.

Advantages: Beautiful and close to San Fran Disadvantages: Not a lot there
When i visited Sacramento it was only for a day while i was in San Fransisco, but it was a day that was just right. The town is situated on the side of the bay and is a real riviera type setting. The inhabitants are all friendly (and give of the impression of much money) and are more than willing to help.
