San Pietro is a Romanesque church in a lovely spot 1 km up the Temo river valley outside Bosa. The town of Bosa is beautiful, with a special atmosphere -- peaceful yet uplifting, ancient yet contemporary. The people are friendly, the food is good, and the surroundings are stunning. It is 40 km south of Alghero. I came across Bosa by chance on holiday a few years ago, and I have returned many times since. There are gorgeous beaches all along the nearby coastline. It is possible to stay in a hotel, bed and breakfast, self-catering apartment and there is even a youth hostel. It is great for couples, families, groups of friends and any people who are NOT seeking a wild party style drunken holiday. ...
