Advantages: All Inclusive, laid back atmosphere, food and drinks Disadvantages: 10 hour flight
...off the plane from our Sandals holiday in Cuba when we were pawing through the newest Sandals brochure ready to book our next Sandals holiday. That is how much we loved the holiday- you can read my review on Sandals Royal Hicacos.
But, WHERE were we going to go?! There were so many choices. Sandals Resorts are located in Cuba, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua and Bahamas. So, we had to decide on which island to visit. We were just back from Cuba. So, ... ...making as there are 7 Sandals Resorts in Jamaica!!!
BOOKING
In the end we decided on Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. The reasons we chose it initially was that we could get a direct flight to Montego Bay from our airport of choice- Manchester, UK and that it had a lovely looking private island with pool and swim up bar. We could just see ourselves basking in the sun next to "our" own little pool and bar!!

Advantages: Everything!! Disadvantages: Long flight (but worth it)
...airport and directed to the Sandals private lounge to await our transfer to the hotel. The lounge was very nicely furnished with an array of free, self-service drinks - alcoholic and soft, and very polite, friendly, smiling staff.
After short wait we were taken to our air conditioned minibus by the Redcaps (airport porters who take care of all your luggage). A brief 15 minute journey later we arrived at The Royal, and were taken aback at how luxurious ... ...the restaurants at the Mobay Sandals nearby, there is a free bus that shuttles day and night and only takes 10 mins. We ate to excess, and tried every restaurant whilst there. We had wonderful steaks, fresh seafood, japanese, thai, italian etc but as we had paid 3,800 we think we deserved to pig out a little!
There is also a beach grill which is open 24 hrs and serves jerk chicken, burgers, jamaican patties, pizza, fries and the like. There were ...
