...usually complaining about how boring school was and how you couldn’t wait to leave and someone would always say "School Days are the Best Days of Your Life” well yes I would agree with them now ive left and I have to live in the big wide world, act like an adult (well once a week) and be responsible for my own actions.
Well thank the lord for SchoolDisco, the place you can go back to, to relive your youth. Remember the music, the dancing, ... ...we went to her old school and bought two ties for a bargain 50p each.
Now for the feet - you have to wear shoes, boots, trainers or high heels.
It is as simple as that. Unless you’re me of course. I wore a skirt which was between 9-10 inches long, something I would never have been allowed to wear at school, a very tight white shirt, stocking and suspenders which again I would not have worn to school and knee height boots for effect or FMB's ...

Advantages: Great music Disadvantages: It's a bit of a rip off
...if people liked you. School was a tough time for a lot of people, but apparently there are thousands every week who want to go back and relive it at SchoolDisco.com at Po Na Na nightclub in Hammersmith (Aka, Hammersmith Palais).
--------How much?--------- I personally loved school. It was a great time for me. However I did not enjoy School Disco nearly as much as I had hoped. For months we had been planning to go there but it was always called off ... ...and it is mandatory at School Disco to wear school uniform, PE kit or dress as another school character (dinner lady, teacher etc). If you aren't dressed up you don't get in. So we girls spent several hours dressing up in our shortest skirts, funky black tights/over the knee socks, white shirts and school ties and put our hair in all manner or different plaits and bunches. We all decided to wear trainers as we knew it would be a long night with lots ...

...we headed off to the School Disco evening at the Hammersmith palais! It was a fab night and I highly recommend it to you all:
MY EXPERIENCE:
I invited 20 friends to join my on my birthday celebration, I booked and paid for all the tickets online as it was easier, I was impressed with the speed at which the tickets were delivered. Also if you have your tickets before the night you don’t have to queue. Everyone arrived at the flat looking fab, School ... ...very much like a large school hall, which helps add to the atmosphere. There are several bars situated around the hall and on a higher level as well. Word of warning it is expensive a bottle of Reef was £3.50. Trcia24 then went for a wonder and returned with the surprise that there was another room with Karaoke! Upstairs there is the Karaoke room, this is we spent most of the night it was fab fun! And worked as a great meeting point! Looking over ...

Advantages: Fantastic music, party atmosphere, something different Disadvantages: Hammersmith is a pain to get to and back from, very hot inside, testosterone everywhere!
...To the British the School Disco seems a perfectly normal concept (or to me at least). But whenever I’ve mentioned it to any of my friends from abroad they seem to find it a very strange idea. Before we went the last time twenty of us, all in our lovely tarty school uniform, headed into our local pub and caused a bit of a stir to say the least! There were two American ladies who seemed to think we were going to an ACTUAL school reunion! Possible, ... ...that would be!
The School Disco was started by Bobby Sanchez after he was fired for playing Shakin’ Stevens (a song that reminded him of his school days) at a London club. He foundered the School Disco in a small restaurant called Ormond's in 1999 and since then its growth has been phenomenal. From the 50 people who turned up at Ormond's in 1999 the School Disco now attracts literally thousands of partygoers every week and holds events at the Hammersmith ...

Advantages: Easy to pull, fun to dress up, friendly atmosphere Disadvantages: Queuing and no loo roll
...and amazingly flirtatious. The school uniform thing probably helps as well, not least because it dissolves inhibitions - when you already look absurdly like an extra from Grange Hill or a Soho sex show, there seems very little point in preserving your dignity. That said, it's also great for a night out with friends - the eighties and seventies hits make everyone feel warm and nostalgic (unless they're incredibly cool and contemptuous towards anything ... ...dress up in your old school uniform - or, if that was as hideous as mine was or no longer fits, an approximation to the stereotypical school uniform. Most people came in white shirts, stripy ties, and black or grey skirts or trousers - some of the more inventive had unearthed little caps, straw boaters, blazers, cricket jumpers, mortarboards (they came as teachers) and scouts' uniforms, and a few enterprising boys came in drag. Advantages: Some good 'oldies', good young 50/50 mix, novel idea Disadvantages: A bit out of the way in Vauxhall, need to be over 20 really
...dress up in your old school clothes, go down to the happening place that is Vauxhall and 'bop' to some old favourites on a Saturday night. They've even got old CBBC man Toby Anstis on the decks.
A pretty original idea I must agree, but once over the initial fun of it all, I have to say this didn't quite hit the spot.
While it's one of the few places in London where the people there are almost entirely under 26 and it's great fun getting dressed ... ...their girlfriend in some sweaty school gear!
I am assured, however, that it's been much better other nights so perhaps I've just had a bad experience.
Overall, then, worth a look for the novelty value (and it IS great fun at times) but just don't expect too much. ...

School Disco has to be THE best night out in London I have ever had. Now are you thinking what are the chances of my pulling! Let me tell you you won't leave with out one!The vibe is simply fantastic, people are really friendly, and those annoying girls/boys that you always seem to find in clubs that are so far up there arse, luckily don't make an appearence hear!. Boys and girls alike are mainly goodlooking, and very flirtatious. Unlike many london ... ...tube is Vauxhall. Dress is school uniform, and the aim is to look like a stereotypical school boy/girl scruffy, and bit of ink over the white shirt goes down a treat oh and don't forget the blazer thats now far tooo small for you!The more comical you look the more intrest people will take in you! There's an old Childrens BBC presenter who DJ's there you'd definately remember him from when you were a kid he kicks ass!!! ...
