...Chandigarh's shopping district. The so-called Sector 17. The entire city is layed out in American-style 'blocks' called 'Sectors' which give it a sense of some sort of 1960's futurist spaceman film.
If you tell an Indian that you are going to Chandigarh, they'll almost certainly recommend a trip to Sector 17.This is the sort of area that people come from all across the Punjab and Northern India just to stroll, window shop, spend their money and ... ...The thing that makes Sector 17 so unusual for India is that it has a multitude of big brand stores in shopping streets that look remarkably - I hesitate to say it - European. So if you ARE European, you can easily find yourself wondering what all the fuss is about. It's just a bit too much like being at home - with a touch of pre-bombing Arndale Centre thrown in.
We took an arduous auto-rickshaw journey into the city from our hotel and were amazed ...

Advantages: All listed in The review. Disadvantages: Lacks in well developed public Transport
Ok, so here I am discussing the city where I have spent almost 5 years before moving to Sydney. Any would agree it is THE BEST CITY in India.
When compared to there cities I scores Over them in all areas. I'll go through some of them.
1. Smoking ban in Public area
2. Helmets compulsory while traveling on two wheelers.
3. Ban on polythene bags.
4. There are no factories in the city.
5. Residential Area and Commercial areas are well defined.
... ...and a religious place within walking distance.
8. Highest density of trees and parks in India compaired to any city.
9. Cheapest rate of petrol as compared to the neighboring areas or other close by cities.
10.Highest per capital income.
11.Highest number of coaching institutes for preparation for exams for colleges like IITs or IIMs Or AIMS
12. Has the least polluted air.
Ok now its time to give the review my personal touch. Most of the foreigners ...
