Advantages: Large, spacious, choice, service, location, value during the sales, find things you are unlikely to find on the High Street. Disadvantages: Odour of the food hall, one might get lost, sometimes it is expensive, sometimes it is better to shop on Bond Street shop by shop.

Selfridges (& Co) as I said, is a very large store probably about the size of a football pitch and a little spanning 4 floors and a small 5th floor. There are countless entrances and the store is set out in a way where’s it’s fairly difficult to get lost, and with three sets of escalators and lifts it’s quite n easy shopping experience. Toilets are aplenty, but fairly difficult to find.

...Marble Arch. You can't miss Selfridges itself. To quote someone I once knew "it's the huge-ass expensive looking shop which says 'selfridges and co' on the door". Once you've made your way past the people collecting for charity and used all your upper body strength on the big revolving doors to actually get into the shop, it's time to die, because you will have already mentally spent about 5 grand.
The ground floor is home to everything but clothes. ... ...people who've quaffed champagne in selfridges (very nice, if very expensive) but Spirit is my spiritual home. I first went to Selfridges to look at their wonderful Christmas displays but was soon drawn though the door. It's a retail experience to be enjoyed and I doubt that you would come away emptyhanded. Departments are well signposted and the goods and displayed well. Although it can get crowded, I has always found queues are not too bad and the service polite and quick. Nestling in one corner of Selfridges' impressive food hall (far better than Harrods) is perhaps the best place in London to see mad Japanese men prepare raw fish.
Yo Sushi! is quite unique in this country (yes, part of a c hain, but the chain itself is unique).
OK, lots of other people flog raw fish. Some of them even expect you to eat it.
But at Yo Sushi! it flies to your table on a conveyor belt.

Selfridges is located in the heart of London along the ever busy Oxford Street. They sell practically everything you could ever want here and the prices aren't particularly extortionate. The service is also good as the members of staff are always on hand to help you out and they are also very polite, it was only the other day when i went and seeing i had a lot to carry a helpful member of staff rushed to the door and even offered to help me hail ... ...a crowd. Anyway back to the shop itself. Selfridges is fun and fresh and you know if you are looking for something they are sure to have it here. One could spend hours merely roaming around aimlessly lost in a maze of products. No wonder the place is always busy! ...

...right time shopping. I find Selfridges very useful because I have everything in one roof but it can get confusing if you don’t know what you want.
What I recommend always is to be able to buy what you are looking for, no point just looking. When you decide what you want find the right floor and keep to what you were looking for. It’s very easy to loose tracks and find your self in the lady’s section when you wanted a pair of socks.
