    Selfridges Selfridges is definitely once of the best and trendiest stores in Manchester. It opened following the success of the Trafford Centre in Manchester and the city centre store has quickly become a favourite amongst shoppers in the heart of the city. Location? Following the bomb in Manchester in 1996, a brand new marks and Spencer store was opened to much acclaim but following a downturn in M&S trade they sold half of the store which is now the new Selfridges store!     Advantages Advantages Good for present buying. Lots of designer labels.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

    When I first visited Selfridges it was the Manchester Branch, not the London one. My first reaction was that it's probably exactly like Harrods; all overpriced useless glitzy junk, or as my friend refers to stores like these: Commerical Crap. Although I found Selfridges to be a slightly less expensive store than Harrods (Note: I'm saying "slightly"), there is no way I would dream of making this my weekly shopping haven.
