...large swimming pool. The Shangri-la has a choice of a few resturant, but as we had the kids it restricted us to 'The Line' which was great. The Line is a great big buffet for what ever meal. The choice is incredible from english to sushi, curry to italian and you can have a taste of all it and as much as you like. The children loved the deserts and were soon on first name basis with the deserts chef. Anyway we left the Shangri-la after a late check ... ...recived a teddy bear in Shangri-la uniform in her cot ) We had a great 3 night stay and the children enjoyed the pool the lifeguards were very vigilent and inquired on their abilities to swim. All the staff were execpentional and would bend over backwards to help as we discovered when we lost my daughters buggy in the back of a taxi . The hotel itself was impressive and received a lot of ohhs and aahhs from my 4 yr old daughter who agreed that it ...

Advantages: Beautiful hotel, really friendly staff Disadvantages: Long walk to the shops
We stayed at the Shangri La hotel for 3 nights in March 2006. I travelled in a party of 5 adults and we shared 2 rooms. We stopped over on our way to Australia as part of a 2 month holiday and we all agreed this was the nicest hotel we stayed in. The hotel was beautiful, set in gardens and has a very grand appearance, with a really nice reception area and bar, and you would expect in Singapore it is very clean. The rooms were really nice with fresh ... ...a large pool with sun loungers which is great as it was very humid in Singapore.
The restaurants in the hotel were mixed, we went to the Chinese restaurant on the first night which was nice, but the other restaurants are mainly seafood so the reception staff were really helpful and recommended restaurants and booked taxis for us.
The main shopping area is about a 20 min walk, which doesnt sound far but in the humidiity feels like miles, so get ...

Stayed at this hotel in October 2003. We stayed in the tower wing and this was more than confortable! Rooms were fantastic with all the modern conveniences, havd a fantastic glas bathroom wall which was excellent when the lights shone through it at night. Chinese tea was in the room once you had checked in an a small gift was left each night whether it being bicuits or chocolate!
