...one of them being the Sheraton Centre. www.canadian-affair.com >>>>Overview<<<<
The hotel has a lot to offer: an indoor/outdoor heated pool (half of the pool is indoor and the other half is outdoor, in the winter I think they can make it all indoor by closing it off), a gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Spa, a secure car park, valet parking, room service, vending machines with food and drink and ice machines (these are situated on nearly all floors in the hotel), ... ...>>>> LOCATION <<<<
The Sheraton Centre is located on Queen Street right in the centre of Toronto, within walking distance of all the main attractions such as the CN Tower, the popular shops, the main mall (The Eaton Centre), bars and restaurants. In Toronto this really is the best place to be as you are right in the middle of everything, and you can walk to the major attractions such as the CN Tower in about 10-15 minutes. We also really liked staying ...

...for two nights at the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street in Toronto. As I had booked our flights and car hire through Canadian Affair I got a great rate of £28 per person per night with no charge for our son who was 18 months at the time. ***This price was not relective of Sheraton Hotel prices!*** Unfortunately, the wonderful deal turned out to not be so great afterall although the hotel certainly has some redeeming qualities.

Conferences/Events
The Sheraton is known for being a centre for conferences. While we were there the reception for an international Marathon which had been run that weekend was being held there.
Staff and Service
This is the area the hotel was most let down on. The staff at the Sheraton for the most part were completely unhelpful and disturbingly didn't seem to know their city very well. Besides the incident with the cot and their total ...

There is another Sheraton at the airport, but this is quite a way out, so don't confuse the two if you're heading to Toronto and want to see the sights. If you accidentally book the airport one, you'll have a hell of an expensive time doing anything centrally!
Overall, we were thoroughly impressed. The underground shopping concourse, it turns out, stretches for miles under the city, and is called PATH. It is fairly priced down there, but ... ...places where food is relatively cheap. The only criticism I have of the hotel is the price of the food. Breakfast was not included in our stay, and to order breakfast from their room service or even to go into one of their own restaurants on the ground floor would have been almost twice as much as outside the hotel. However, we had a marvellous stay, and would happily use this hotel again if we went back to Toronto. ...

***Location***
For those spending a few days in downtown Toronto, there is certainly no better location than this hotel. It is right in the heart of the city, in walking distance from everything a tourist may want to do: The Eaton Centre, Queen Street West, Yonge Street, CN Tower.
***Arrival***
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly front desk person who was well aware that we had booked this hotel at a bargain price via Priceline. Nonetheless, ... ...have treated a full-paying customer and even upgraded us to one of their special rooms for Starwood Preferred Guests. We also were able to choose whether we wanted to stay on a high floor or a low floor, so we opted for a higher floor.
The elevators are simply brilliant - they take you up to your room in no time. One quibble we immediately had, however, was that the room was located next to a very noisy ice-making machine. ***The room***

Advantages: Location, Room, Staff, Price! Disadvantages: Car Parking
...Obviously, we loved the Sheraton the first time round otherwise we would not have returned! The rooms are spacious and have the comfiest beds known to mankind :-) The room service was thorough and efficient daily. Staff at reception were polite and efficent, and the staff at the Toronto Tours desk were fantastic. We organised numerous outings with them the first time and, although we weren't going on any tours this time round, we asked them for advice ... ...and many others, (See the Sheraton website for full details.) Although I can't comment on these as we didn't use them. We did make use of room service twice. As we got engaged whilst staying there :-) my partner had ordered a bottle of champagne which was pricey, but arrived on time perfectly chilled. We also ordered room service late one night after being out and the food arrived promptly, hot and tasty for a reasonable price for room service. ($15CAD/£7.50 ...
