Advantages: Great food, service and entertainment

I flew Singapore Airlines, in economy, on the first two legs of a round the world trip with Star Alliance. They were without question the best two flights of the trip, and among the best flights I have ever taken (and I have been flying regularly since I was an infant). ...and to my great surprise Singapore Airlines fitted the bill (literally). I was previously not going to include the price because of me travelling from Dublin to London on another airline, but I have been asked to include it, so I will! In total, a return flight from Dublin to Sydney was £701! That's stopping off in Heathrow and in Singapore. Reading a few opinions written by other Ciao-ers made me realise that there is nothing new that I can really add as to what travelers can expect from SIA but my personal testimonials. Off course many airlines offer you good service but what about those little things that you can only experience if you have flown with them. For example on my flight, I was in Economy Class and the night was upon us. Singapore has good food in economy, so I was expecting something outstanding in Raffles class and to be honest although you get a nice table cloth, real cuttlery and a nice starter, the food is really very much the same quality as economy, which isn't a bad thing as it's still good, the main difference being that you can get a cheese board for desert along with Port. Singapore Airlines really do rise above any other airline irrelevant of the class or distance you fly.
