Advantages: Excellent in-flight entertainment and friendly, helpful staff

...have flown numerous times on Singapore Airlines,especially on the shuttle service Kuala Lumpur-Singapore-Kuala Lumpur and less frequently to Pekan Bahru Sumatra,Jakarta, Perth and on various long haul flights to London. Singapore Airlines one of, if not the best airline in the world and im not just saying that because im singaporean. firstly, the service prior, during and after the flight is impeccable, ranging form check-in to the warm smiles as u disembark form the plane. I flew with this airline 2 times in 1995, not only was the fare very competitive but its all round service, and prosessionalism of the staff was just great. I recommend anyone flying with these. What i really like of this airline was the warmth and humor of all the staff, throughout the jorney. There was 3 meals, alot more than BA which only provide one meal. ...with four different airlines but Singapore Airlines won hands down. From the moment we stepped into the business class lounge we were impressed. Not only were the usual drinks and nibbles available but also a range of hot dishes. On the actual plane the leg room was excellent, even for business class. Disadvantages: a little pricier than others, can be difficult to book seats during peak periods.

As a student from Singapore studying in UK, I have the opportunity to fly 10,000km twice every year on my annual trip back home. For such a long distance flight, I have only used 1 airline - Singapore Airlines. A 13 hour direct flight is no laughing matter. The quality of the airline can either make this flight pass in a flash or seem like eternity. Fortunately, I am proud to say that SIA provides the dream service. The service is efficient ... Advantages: Friendly Service, Great Food, Loads of Entertainment
Disadvantages: None!!!

I last flew with Singapore Airlines on a trip from London Heathrow to Singapore to Brisbane in 1999. From the moment I stepped onto the very clean Boeing 747-400 I was pleasantly greeted by about 5 stewardesses. I was then show to my seat in economy class. I've flown with Singapore airlines 4 times, from Manchester to Singapore. We changed once and flew with FinAir, and this made us realise just how good Singapore Airlines is. Not that FinAir is bad, SIA is just amazing. The food is nice, whether suitable for a child/diabetic/vegetarian or anything, its always good. ...that I have taken with Singapore Airlines was 16 hours and this was to Singapore. The aircraft was both clean and well equipped, with a TV monitor in the back of every seat. Now I know that this is not the case on every plane, but for the long journey it made it ever more enjoyable. The stewards and stewardesses were always polite and ready to help you with any needs. I flied Singapore Airline by the end of 1998 for the Taipei-London route. I decided to travel with it because I have been hearing very good comment about this company, and their commercials made it appealing. I received very warm welcome from the staff and attendants.
