...travelled with SIA twice, from Singapore to London and Singapore to Sabah. Both trips were comfortable and the air stewardess are attentive but somehow I feel that the SIA girls are more attentive towards the caucasians and foreigners rather than towards Singaporeans. We both flew in First class to Singapore, and then I went on in 1st to Melbourne and she went in Raffles to Perth, as there was no 1st on that leg. My first time travelling on Singapore Airlines and was presently surprised: a long haul flight of 17 hours was not the usual combination of tedium and discomfort, instead I was comfortable and relaxed on both outward and return journeys. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive and didn't seem to have the plastic smiles and reluctant manner so common to many airline staff. Disadvantages: A little tight on the elbow room

...to Ibiza! However, we flew with Singapore Air and the only complaint from my husband was about the chap on the other side of him who kept nodding off on his shoulder. The legroom was quite splendid, although the elbow room was a bit tight. I can never sleep on planes because of the aircraft noise so I was looking forward to watching Gosford Park on the inflight video, but found it difficult to concentrate. ...thought until i went with Singapore Airlines. I had heard great things about Singapore Airlinesand to my surprise they were the cheapest deal i got. £680 from Belfast to Brisbane including e-visa. Thankfully my bags were checked on through so once i dumped them in Belfast i didn't see them again until Brisbane. The Planes Great seats-three to myself. I was amazed at the entertainment system. I flew with Singapore Airlines almost five years ago, From Manchester to SIngapore, then from Singapore on to the final destination, Melbourne, and the same but vice versa for the return trip. Although there was a long queue at the check-in desk, the queue was down in no time and we were through no hassle whatsoever, except a friend of mine has scissors in a first aid kit she had, which they then removed (this showed that good security measures ... Advantages: Almost buisiness class in economy
Disadvantages: They dont run british airways

...to rough it in economy. Singapore airlines are by far the best airlines I have ever been on. First off the seats have that extra few inches between them that makes a noticeable difference from BA who in my opinion are one of the worst. Long hall flights have always had personal TV screens at each seat with a choice of films and games to keep you amused through out the journey. I flew with Singapore Airlines to Singapore for the first time in April 2008. I thought that they were absolutely brilliant. On the way to Singapore, we flew on the new A380, which again was great. As we were flying with my son who was 3 months old at the time we had a bassanet seat, which made the whole flight a lot easier, as we could put my son down when he was sleeping. ...taken four seperate flights with Singapore airlines and all of them could not be faulted. They are efficient and quick and all the procedures are done with minimum of fuss. The cabin staff are lovely, polite and welcoming. There is free champagne, wine and beer in economy class - free flowing.
