...I can fully recommend the Singel Hotel. The hotel itself is located on the singel canal. It is only a 10 minute walk from the Train Station so it's very handy. Just a point though, when you get off the train look for the small white travel information building across the road. They sell the 3 day tram tickets which you may want if you want to go to the Reiksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum.. To get to the hotel from the Station come out of the main ... ...Singel you will be asked to pay up front for your stay. This is because of the amount of people doing a 'runner' so if you aren't happy with it ask if you can see the room before you pay. If you arrive before your room is ready they will happily store your luggage for you (you only pay for the room once it is ready.) We stayed on the top floor which is a non smoking floor. We were in a triple room which was big enough for the 3 nights we were there ...
