...of fun. But what does Skirmish Paintball hold for the user?
The Location: The location near me is just on the outskirts of Warminster. Not extremely well advertised and slightly hard to find but word of mouth seems to be doing the trick. Situated inside woodland with a range of scenarios it holds a fantastic day out for all paintball players or those just looking for fun.
Scenarios: Cowboy Town. Just recently been put up and although I havent played ... ...and all sorts of tactics can be put into play.
Defend the Fort. A small two floor fort surrounded by protective wooden barriers. Objective is to ensure noone from the opposing team makes it close enough to score a kill on your target. This could be a person or you could use the metal sheet they have in there. Defensive tactics involve aerial cover accompanied by a standard flank manouvre. Or you could just unleash hell with paintball grenades if ...

Advantages: FANTASTIC GAME ZONES, Fair Upfront Pricing, Very safe sites Disadvantages: Not enough of them across the country
...swapping over to join the Skirmish Paintball Games organisation and affiliating with them and their structure.
Quite simply, paintballing has a danger factor with it - so its important to ensure that the organisation does its best to ensure safety on the whole site. Secondly, well thought out scenarios and well built paintballing scenarios certainly enhance the fun factor and return factor for players. On both these important aspects - you can see ... ...I have played at such Skirmish Paintballing sites like Lasham Skirmish (the Hampshire Skirmish paintball site) or Necton Skirmish (the larger of the two Norfolk Skirmish sites). Bullswood Skirmish near London in Surrey is an awsome paintballing experience and Nottingham's Skirmish Paintball Games kicks butt !! All of them also have upfront pricing so that you can choose a proper days paintballing pack, instead of many competition out there who try ...

Advantages: Biggest operator in UK so lots of them around. Disadvantages: Old, run down, poorly equipped - other sites do it better.
I played at Skirmish Lasham a while a ago. I enjoyed the games at Skirmish (although the site itself waa a bit run down). The basecamp is located within an old tin barn down the end of a long track in a rather dank piece of woodland. I noticed that in half of the barn was a load of old hay bales and agricultural equipment - maybe this site is run more as a hobby by a farmer. It just didn't feel very 'professional'.
The game zones were ok, but more ... ...was that it was quite a long drive - but hey, it was worth it!
I understand that Skirmish is the biggest operator in the UK, but then Tesco is bigger than Harrods (if you catch my drift).
All in all Skirmish was a bit of a disappointment. ...

Advantages: Great staff, fun games, hilarious moments, paintball rocks! Disadvantages: Tiring!
I recently visited Skirmish Paintball Nottingham with a group of mates from University for a birthday (after seeing their website www.skirmishpaintballgames.co.uk) and it was an awesome day. I've only played paintball a couple of times before and it has to have been the best site I've visited. What impressed me was the level of organisation that put it head over heels above a lot of other sites out there that are usually just a shed in a field. Skirmish ... ...and Duncan anyone?) but at Skirmish not once did I feel in danger. As long as you do what's asked of you and keep your goggles on while playing you'll be sweet and having great fun!
The paintball games themselves were great fun, I particularly enjoyed a game that we played on the castle field. They have built a bloody great fort in the middle of the woods like 20 foot high or something and was a blast to play in and around. There are loads of different ...

Advantages: Kids loved it and you can see that they look after customers Disadvantages: Not a cheap day but good value for money
...in High Wycombe run by Skirmish Paintball for my son's birthday. I was really pervious about taking them there when my son first asked about paintball as a birthday treat. I was really re-assured by the fact that they ran specific junior days for the younger players (my son and daughter are 14 and 13) and there were enough supervisors looking after the gaggle of kids. Although I didn't play myself but I was allowed to wait in the base camp and I ... ...and the kids running and rolling around.
Overall I highly recommend skirmish to all out there. There's a lot of sites out there but skirmish seems to be a really strong brand and from looking at their website (www.skirmishpaintballgames.co.uk) it seems the quality is maintained wherever you go. ...

Advantages: lots of fun, funny staff, some nice exercise Disadvantages: a few bounces and a few bruises
I went last weekend to skirmish paintball in Nottingham as part of my best mates stag weekend. There was a pretty big group of us that wanted a good laugh before going out and getting trashed in the town centre. After some looking around for the best place including asking mates and some looking on google I fell upon their website www.playskirmish.co.uk . After giving them a quick call on 08702255639 I had us all booked in for a pretty good rate. ... ...let us know all the costs up front, as it turned out it was a good idea to order more paintballs up front.
When we got there all bleary eyed in the morning we were sorted out with our nice cammo overalls (to blend in, of course) as well as our goggles. After a quick cup of coffee in base camp and a quick little speech from our referee for the day we were out to play. A point they did make a lot was to keep our goggles on, I'd recommend making sure ...

...organising a paintballing sesh' with Skirmish Nottingham for my pre birthday bash. I contacted their helpline who were all to hapy to help with the booking, helping to arrange an apporprate time and date. The the prices turned out to be pretty good value for money too!

...we were going to play Skirmish paintball games with several other couples, the thought of being shot at terrified me, as I had heard paintballing could hurt (body amour is provided for girls, which definately helped) the initial hits hurt but then the adreneline kicks in. We played at Skirmish Nottingham, the organisation on the day was fantastic, they ...
