Advantages: Location location location. Comfortable large rooms Disadvantages: May appear dated and less cool than other hotels
We found this hotel in midtown west as part of a package through Virgin Holidays and ending up chosing is mainly on the fact it was the cheapest hotel they offered somewhere close to the middle of Manhattan. The hotel is on 10th Avenue, only a couple of blocks from Times Square (where broadway crosses 7th Avenue for an idea of street numbers). Would also add that we walked almost everywhere and felt perfectly safe in the streets around Times Square ... ...people off at much more expensive hotels during our transfer from JFK, I don't think we could have wished for a better location for the price. Our , on the 10th Avenue front of the hotel, had views of the midtown skyline, including the Empire State Building. It may not be the coolest looking hotel in town, in fact it looks like a motel from the outside, but it's comfortable. Our room was on the second floor, quite large with two double (or Queen-size) ...

Advantages: nice hotel close to times square ect Disadvantages: chalk body outline!!!
When we arrived this was our third hotel in new york, i thought it would be cheaper to book once i was ther - i was so wrong, so ended up booking this one from expedia in a internet cafe, in new york. What a hassle.
Anyway got in, thought nice hotel, clean smart apperance , helpfull employes,a swimming pool which is free to use,big room with two double beds,all tastefully decorated .The on suite was large and clean with plenty of marble everywhere.
... ...the window , downwards ontop of the entrance was a body outline-like the police use, of a person spread out ,with a leg in a very unatural position.a bit off putting
mmm. nice , why wouldnt they clean that off ?
The hotel isnt far from broadway , times square,and fairly important to me was the pizza shop opposite- fat sals.(i had pizza atleat once a day whilst there)
I think the price was around 75 pound a night per room.That being a twin with ...
