Sliema Resort, Malta

Put in the (places tongue firmly in cheek) terrible position of having to use or lose two days annual leave, I scoured the internet for destinations that were a direct flight from Newcastle. Malta ticked several boxes: it was a direct flight, the flight times would allow for almost four days away, the weather would be significantly warmer than in the UK and, finally and most importantly, Easyjet Holidays were offering terrific deals on flight/hotel packages.
