Advantages: Lovely rooms, helpful staff on reception, nice pool area. Disadvantages: Not good in a crisis!
We stayed in the South Seas hotel in August 2005.
During outr stay in Miami the MTV Awards with being held in the area and the hotel next door had been turned into Hotel MTV. This was amazing as there were many acts on at the pool parties and several celebrations going on that we could join in on.
A large set back during our stay at the South Seas was the Hurricane Catrina which hit the area. This is obviously not the hotels fault but the bar and ... ...The rooms at the South Seas were excellent, always kept clean and the bed was big and comfortable. The rooms were very small though and due to the hurricane we had to stay in them for a while.
Staff at reception were very helpful offering us advice on where to go and where to eat. The man on the valet parking was also very helpful, which cost us $20 per night, this I felt was a bit steep, but it has to be done, if your hiring a car there is nowhere ...
