St Anton one of the more popular Towns in The Tirol and is very popular destination amongst British Tour operators ( Self Drive, Coach and Air) despite being set in Mountains and also the town itself being rather hilly, it is a most interesting place to stay and with lots going on both through the day and in the evenings, of course St Anton comes to life in the winter wiht skiing being available for both the Novice and the Expert ...

Advantages: Huge ski area - friendly locals - easy to get to Disadvantages: None really
Just got back from St Anton (New Year 2006 - 07) and what a great place to visit. Skiing: Runs are generally for the intermediate and expert skier although there are beginners runs in a few places and a very good ski school. Your electronic lift pass covers all of St Anton plus the nearby resorts of St Christoph, Lech and Zurs. To get to Lech and Zurs you can either get the bus from St Anton or ski to St Christoph and get it from there. If you have ... ...is at the end of St Anton High St and a little quieter. It is a 3 minute walk from a gondola lift and only a 10 minute walk from the main shopping area (which is mosly pedestrianised). Loads of bars and restaurants. Maximillians is excellent and for a traditional fondue go to The Train restaurant. The best pizza we found was the mountain restaurant at the top of the blue No 8 run. Just got back from St Anton last week and what can I say! - It's incredible. An afternoon isn't a proper afternoon without a visit to the Mooserwirt bar/restaurant about a 2 minute ski from the bottom. At about 4:30 they turn up the music and start playing cheesy dance versions of all the classic hits like Do Wah Diddy and Hey Baby. This is tho..the whole thing works. With the drinks flowing at the constant stream of music that anyone can sing-along ... ...skiing side of things st Anton has a lot to offer. There's a vast ski area which operates with a very clever lift pass. You just leave it in your pocket and it reads it as you pass through. Neat huh?! It also gives you access to the resorts of Zurs and Lech which are only a few miles away! ...
