Advantages: excellent value for money, safe environment for children Disadvantages: can't get into chalet/caravan till 4pm
We first visited this holiday park in 2001. It had come recommended by a friend. On our first visit we stayed in a chalet, it is always with an air of anticipation that I open a chalet/caravan door, however I was more than presently surprised at the interior: very clean and tidy with all essentials to hand in the kitchen and even duvets provided in the bedrooms, the huge bay windows kept the room bright and inviting and lighting outside made sure ... ...has it's own play area for children well away from cars.
On our second stay we opted for a caravan and even at 9 months pregnant,(yes, we holidayed 2 weeks before our second was born!), I found the caravan roomy and comfortable, again all necessaries were available, however only blankets are provided in caravans. We have always visited this site either early or late in the season and have always been able to maintain a comfortable warm environment ...

Advantages: value for money, self contained, close to beaches and amenities Disadvantages: drinks a little expensive but not overlly
...this year I went to St Ives Holiday Village. The entrance is easy to find and attractive, not one bit of rubbish. The reception is by the entrance to the village. Impressed or what to the chalets, they have all been upgraded with ample room for families of all sizes. Heating in all rooms and an electric shower. The chalets are separated with grass and flowers to add to your privacy. There is a heated swimming pool with a slide (great fun) and also ... ...starts at 10am for the children with Fredi the Fox and the representatives. The bar opens at 11am right through till 12 midnight, music is played constantly no matter what time of day you fancy a drink. The main entertainment starts at 6pm with Fredi again for an hour followed by a disco till nine. From nine is either house caberet or external band/comedian (this is for adults only but the children are still welcome to attend so long as they do not ...

Advantages: The most beautiful huge uncrowded beach. Helpful staff. Disadvantages: Not that clean. Smelly chalet. Expensive overall experience. Very uncomfortable beds.
The beach is divine, seriously! It is a good walk from the chalets, but worth the effort. I just hated the hard thick-plastic covered mattresses They are so uncomfortable. They supplied nice clean linen for the A6 chalet, which was great, but it just slid off of the plastic covering on the matress and was hot and very sticky in the night. The rooms had a bad damp smell, so we had to run in and open up the whole chalet to let the air pass through. ... ...I am not really a clean freak but the windows inside were full of sticky children's fingers all over it at about 2 ft from the floor. That should have been cleaned off. The toilet brush was so foul and soupy yukky lumpy inside the holder, that I threw it away and went and bought them a new one. That helped to stop the smell somewhat in the tiolet, but i think it was from whatever lived under the lino! They do not supply a hoover so the sand and other ...
