Advantages: I know i can always rely on "the precinct" Disadvantages: it can be quite dingy on a cold winters day
...of doing an op on St John's precinct. But after coming across several somewhat negative reviews on the place i wouldn't be able to sleep without giving people the opportunity to read what St John's shopping centre is really all about.

L1 1LY St John's really cannot be missed or avoided as once you are in town it can be seen from absolutely everywhere. The outside of the building is painted green (earlier episodes of brookside will show the centre in the opening themetune). If for some reason the view of the building is obstructed, by other shops for example, the Radio City tower which forms a familiar part of Liverpool's skyline, stretches out from ...

St Johns Precinct is becomming a disgrace to an otherwise rapidly improving city. The "Mall" lacks that freshness that his so aparent in the like of Clayton Square. The shops are in truth quite poor with the bigger named ones moving instead to other areas such as the rapidly developing Queens Square. Being a 15 year old, i want to go to shops that will provide for my needs. People of my age want good clothes and the latest CD's but unfortunatley ...

Advantages: Basicas and Market Disadvantages: Scruffy
ST Johns Shopping Centre located in the centre of Liverpool you cannot miss it. It is the building with the old revolving restaurant on top with many entrances.
St Johns offers an extensive range of shops ranging from the Food Market to fashionable clothes stores.
St Johns market is very good and contains lots of butchers, Fruit and Veg Shops and a Fish Market. All the food is fresh daily and is very reasonably priced. I could not go with out mentioning ... ...Snack.
St johns also has a food court typical of small shopping centres but is not of a high standard and can be untidy I wouldn’t eat her but is all right for a quick coffee.
There are some very good cheap clothes shops here stocking a good range of fashion clothes my personal favourite is called Basics located on the upper floor. The bookshop is a good place to go to get older books but not the latest titles and has a vast range of paperbacks ...

...what can i say about St Johns Precinet....that people dont already know!!! Its Nasty, and very horrible, i'm sorry guys, but its gotta be said. I was born and brought up in Liverpool, but compared to Manchester, Liverpool is rather behind, in the 'shopping complex' category.
St Johns, mall is too dark, and the Market, is very much stinky, the fish mongers fishes are not fresh at all, believe me!! The shops are not of high standard clothes, its all ...

...will make an exception for St John's Precinct. I've often thought about why I don't lik the place, and it's quite hard to put my finger on it. The owners boast that there are over 100 shops on two floors, beneath one of Liverpool's most famous landmarks, St John's Tower... but I'm not convinced. I avoid going in there - but I don't find I need to very often. The shops in there are not the high street names - they are all on Church Street / Lord Street ... ...anything else. Next there is the whole light issue. Don't ask me why, but as far as I'm concerned, a shopping centre should be well lit and airy. Built in the 70s/80s when such things didn't seem to bother people, this place lacks architectural style. Apart from the central food court - which itself is beginning to look a bit outdated, I think the precinct lets the city down. It would appear that the city council agrees. In a recent proposal it has ...

Advantages: some good shops Disadvantages: the public toilets are mingin
*INTRODUCTION*
For my op I am going to review ST. JOHNS PRECINCT which is in liverpool city centre. You can't miss it as it is a big green thing smack bang in the middle of town.
*HOW USEFUL IS IT?*
St. Johns has a wide range of shops. From clothes and household things to a food court and meat market. Whatever you need, you'll find it in there somewhere. Most Prices in the shops are very reasonablebut the odd shop will charge you through the teeth ... ...(fake)jewellery. However it is home to many descent shopping outlets like Warren James, Dirty, BU, Argos, Adams, Thorntons plus many others. It is exceptionally good for its food court and bakerys which are scattered around the centre. St. Johns has everything from small coffee shops to some of the top names. Even if the toilets are mingin, I personnally enjoy shopping there. also it is siutable for disabled people or people with prams as thier is ...

...design and whole atmosphere of st johns shopping centre it has an original shopping mall design which is hard to find these days, (built proply out of wood tiles and glass mirrors) not cheap white plastic and the whole building virtually made out of glass, that bright inside that it hurts your eyes, No its actually very relaxed especially the food court all original wood design with glass windows on first floor. Advantages: Lots of shops Disadvantages: Its the dirtyest most horrible place on earth!!
The Prices are very cheap but for a reason. The whole place is full of the worse than average shops. Seriously DO NOT GO if you want a good shopping mall (go to the trafford centre, cheshire oaks or even the virgin Mall just across the street.)
This place is accually despite what i have just said about it is probably worth visiting. Just to experience for yourself so that you can agree with me. This place is dirty and grimey and in need of some ... ...there is a bus station that stops just outside it. A few buses to get if you want to go here are the 86, the 80 the 74 the 82 and the 178 and several others.
I would advise taking your family here, there are no places to eat inside and it is full of Young ruffians ( Scals, Chavs etc) which dont make it a nice place to be. It can be okay if you wish to go there if you want to go with just two or three friends.
I would really not recommend going ...

Advantages: None! Disadvantages: Old, Scruffy, Unhelpful staff, need I go on?
St Johns Precinct is in desperate need of a facelift! More than ever the food court does.
The Food Court is situated in the middle of the ground floor and is a disgrace to the centre. It consists of five retail food units including McDonalds, SpudULike, and Morelli's.
On first sight there is absolutely nothing appealing about it. It looks old-fashioned, scruffy and deserted. The whole place needs shutting down and renovating. The precinct and food ... ...their other sites it would appear that they have forgotten about their Liverpool site. For example, The White Rose Centre on the outskirts of Leeds is a modern, new, clean building where you would enjoy shopping and eating. My advice is to steer clear of the place and then hopefully it might prompt them to react and sort the place out. ...

Advantages: Always something different, easy to reach Disadvantages: Small, often cramped inside
I stumbled across Liverpool Palace quite by accident not long after I moved to Liverpool, and was immediately impressed. Although it is located just off one of Liverpools main shopping streets, stepping into the Palace is like stepping into a different world. The Palace seems to be a Shopping Centre in completely the wrong building. The units are generally small and odd shapes, while the main 'corridor' between them is, in parts, only just wide enough ... ...too well lit, and often gets quite crowded.
Even with the quirks of the building, it is the shops themselves that make the Palace. Most of them are quite specialised and sell 'niche market' items. They range from comic books to second hand vinyl and CDs, Tarot readings to clothing. All the shops are independent and usually the person serving you is the owner. Many of the shops are well established in the centre, while others seem to appear and disappear ...

St Johns Centre is a horrendous throwback to when we first destroyed our city centres, when we tried to copy the American shopping malls on a legoland squidgy scale. This charm less, outdated excuse for a city centre shopping mall makes the old Shudehill side of Manchester Arndale look positively posh. At least the owners of that building took the right decision by demolishing and redeveloping the site.
I suspect that when the Paradise project is ...
